DICOP Africa hosts Innovation Village --

With a growing number of DISCOP delegates looking for innovative ways to monetise the content they produce and distribute, DISCOP Africa will for the first time host an Innovation Village.
Situated at 80/81/82/83 stands, the hub is home to seven highly innovative companies providing unique solutions for transport, enhancing digital video content, building second-screen applications, building profile viewers and measuring audiences.
Companies participating in The Innovation Village include:
Orange Horizons
Location: Innovation Village 07
An Orange Group subsidiary which seeks out new business opportunities in countries where Orange is not present as a mass market telecommunications provider. Depending on the country, these activities include local websites providing news and audiovisual content and/or on-line stores offering high tech and telecoms related equipment.
Mobile Accord / GeoPoll
Location: Innovation Village 04
GeoPoll s Media Measurement Service provides unprecedented real-time data on TV and radio ratings, audience share, and audience size in several African markets. Data includes when and what individuals listened to and watched, with results delivered overnight, 365 days a year.
English Club TV
Location: Innovation Village 03
English Club TV is a British educational channel for English language learning that is well-known in 94 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Its programmes are developed with a help of professional methodologists, teachers and linguists.
The Kitchen
Location: Innovation Village 01
The Kitchen, the entertainment and production industry s only Emmy Award-Winning language translation, dubbing and subtitling services and Earcandy, sub-Saharan Africa s premiere language translation, dubbing and subtitling facility, have joined forces to provide the African production solution for the African market.
HTTV
Location: Innovation Village 06
HTTV is a leading software solutions provider for digital TV. It is based in France with an office in Singapore. The company develops software products for TV operators and set-top boxes to enable advanced Hybrid TV services such as: VOD, Catch-up TV, Live OTT, and Electronic Program Guides.
Clickboogie Media
Location: Innovation Village 05
Clickboogie is offering its African broadcast partners free Programming, such as Its Africas Time Seasons 1 and 2, in addition to some of the best shows available from the global primetime market.
Wezwa
Location: Innovation Village 02
Wezwa is a social network that allows people to get extra content from their favourite shows, and to connect, post updates, and share their favourite content with friends.
