A total of 130 projects in 17 countries fall within the MAFF, Malaga Festival Fund & CoproductionEventProyecto estrella de la nueva zona de Industria del Festival de M laga, el MAFF pretende tejer nuevas redes de trabajo y generar negocios de coproducci n en el mercado internacional.La primera convocatoria para participar en el MAFF - M laga Festival Fund&CoproductionEvent, cerrada el pasado d a 15 de enero, ha resultado todo un xito. Un total de 130 proyectos latinoamericanos de 17 pa ses se han inscrito en este nuevo foro enmarcado en la nueva rea de industria MAFIZ, en el que profesionales de la industria cinematogr fica latinoamericana y europea se encontrar n, en el marco del 21 Festival de M laga. Cine en Espa ol (13 al 22 de abril de 2018), para tejer nuevas redes de trabajo y generar negocios de coproducci n en el mercado internacional.
El MAFF - M laga Festival Fund&CoproductionEvent es un espacio de industria que permitir a los productores latinoamericanos encontrarse y presentar sus proyectos a los responsables de los principales fondos internacionales y productores de Espa a y resto de Europa. Este evento nace de un esfuerzo colectivo promovido por el Ayuntamiento de M laga, organizado por el Festival de M laga y en alianza con CNC aideauxcin mas du monde, EAVE, HubertBalsFund, S rfond, World Cinema Fund, Doha Film Institut, Visi n Sudest, Film MarketHub, Arab Cinema Center, ICAA , FIPCA,Junta de Andaluc a y EGEDA (Entidad de Gesti n de Derechos de los Productores Audiovisuales).
El MAFF, que se celebrar los d as 16, 17, 18, 19 y 20 de abril, est dirigido a proyectos latinoamericanos, que sean primera o segunda obra del director/realizador, en los g neros de largometraje de ficci n, documental y animaci n, que se encuentren en fase de desarrollo avanzado. De entre los 130 presentados, los pa ses que aglutinan un mayor n mero de proyectos han sido Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, M xico, y Per .
Un comit de selecci n formado por expertos del audiovisual, de reconocido prestigio tanto de Europa como de Iberoam rica, elegir 18 proyectos de entre los 130 presentados. La selecci n de proyectos tendr como fin principal impulsar el talento art stico y creativo de los directores participantes y se tendr en cuenta la capacidad y el potencial del proyecto para acceder al mercado internacional. El anuncio de los proyectos seleccionados tendr lugar en el marco del Festival Internacional de Cine de Berl n y durante la celebraci n del d a del Cine Iberoamericano, organizado por el Instituto Cervantes, Ibermedia y CACI.
Durante el MAFF, los equipos seleccionados tendr n la oportunidad de presentar sus proyectos a los especialistas invitados (fondos internacionales y productoras) y tener reuniones individuales con los participantes. Adem s, optar n a los siguientes premios:
EAVE, European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs, otorgar a uno de los proyectos seleccionados participar en su Programa Puentes, que tendr lugar en noviembre de 2018.
Film Market Hub, colaborador del MAFF, otorgar a todos los proyectos seleccionados un a o de inscripci n gratuita en su mercado online. De esta manera adem s de su participaci n en los foros, los proyectos podr n conectar de forma online con toda una red de productores y empresas de Europa y Latinoam rica. El objetivo es que tras su paso por el MAFF tengan m s visibilidad y oportunidades de encontrar coproductores interesados.
S RFOND, Fondo de Cine del Sur de Noruega, otorgar a un proyecto seleccionado en MAFF 2018 participar en S RFOND PitchingForum, en noviembre de 2018.
The MAFF forma parte de la nueva Zona de Industria del Festival de M laga, que engloba un conjunto de eventos dise ados para fortalecer las producciones cinematogr ficas iberoamericanas. El MAFIZ (M laga Festival IndustryZone) est constituido por seis eventos que promueven la financiaci n, coproducci n, distribuci n y venta del cine en espa ol. El apoyo e impulso al nuevo talento audiovisual latinoamericano es el objetivo transversal de esta amplia rea industrial, que cuenta con el patrocinio y apoyo de FIPCA (Federaci n Iberoamericana de Productores Cinematogr ficos y Audiovisuales).
MAFIZEl MAFIZ se completa con otros cinco proyectos:
Los SpanishScreenings - M laga de Cine, evento organizado por el Festival de M laga y el Ayuntamiento de M laga, con el patrocinio del ICAA (Instituto de la Cinematograf a y de las Artes Audiovisuales); ICEX Espa a Exportaci n e Inversiones, Junta de Andaluc a y EGEDA (Entidad de Gesti n de Derechos de los Productores Audiovisuales), es una plataforma internacional de venta y promoci n del cine en espa ol.
Latin American Focus, un encuentro bilateral entre Espa a y un pa s latinoamericano con el objetivo de reforzar el networking y las coproducciones de las empresas productoras de ambos pa ses. Este a o, el pa s invitado ser Brasil.
M laga Docs, encuentro de an lisis y reflexi n en torno al documental, donde los profesionales m s importantes de este g nero se re nen para compartir su mirada sobre el cine documental latinoamericano.
M laga Work in Progress, cuyo objetivo es impulsar la financiaci n de pel culas latinoamericanas en fase de producci n para favorecer su finalizaci n y distribuci n internacional.
M laga Talent, un puente entre la industria y el talento, entre Espa a y Latinoam rica. Fomentar el conocimiento de equipos profesionales y construir sinergias creativas son sus objetivos.
