Behind the Mic: Report Says Olbermann Could Return to ESPN; Fox Adds New Faces to Regis Philbin s Crowd Gs Wild on FS

ESPN is reportedly interested in bringing Keith Olbermann back to Bristol after a decade-and-a-half absence. According to the New York Daily News sources, ESPN is in serious discussions with Olbermann to host a New York-based late night talk show on ESPN2. The sources said the situation was still very fluid and no decision on green-lighting Olbermann or the project had been made. The move is likely a response to Fox Sports' ultra-hyped launch of its FS1 cable sports network. Speaking of FS1, Fox is putting the final touches on Regis Philbin's new daily show Crowd Goes Wild, which premieres on the new cable net on Aug. 19. Joining Philbin on the program will be Veteran Wall Street Journal sports columnist Jason Gay; professional tennis player turned comedian Michael Kosta; two-time Super Bowl Champion and four-time Pro Bowl defensive end Trevor Pryce; and Sky Sports host and news anchor Georgie Thompson, along with Guyism.com personality and YouTube sensation Katie Nolan serving as social media correspondent

Two-time Emmy Award-winning sports anchor Dan Hellie has joined NFL Network to host the network's signature show, NFL Total Access. Hellie joins NFL Network after seven years at the NBC station WRC-TV News 4 in Washington, D.C., where he served as the Sports Director and weekday sports anchor. Hellie hosted Redskins Showtime, the Redskins Coaches Show, Sports Final, Daily Connection. Prior to joining WRC-TV, Hellie worked as a news anchor at WFTV Channel 9 in Orlando, Fla. Hellie has also served as a guest co-host of the Morning Drive on the Golf Channel

NESN had brought on Gary Striewski as a Feature Reporter and Sports Anchor. In a newly created position, Striewski will provide regular reports covering the Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots, and Celtics, along with Hockey East, and all the major college sports throughout New England. In addition, Striewski will be part of the weekend anchor team on NESN Sports Today, NESN's new nightly sports program. Striewski comes from NBC TV affiliate KPRC Channel 2 in Houston, where he has been a sports anchor and reporter. Prior to KPRC the Denver, CO native worked as a sports reporter and anchor at the CBS affiliates in Cheyenne, WY, and Fort Collins, CO

FOX Sports South announced that former NFL All-Pro and Atlanta Falcon Ovie Mughelli will join SEC Gridiron LIVE when it makes its fifth season debut on Wednesday, August 28, at 10p. Meanwhile, Tim Couch returns for his fourth season as an analyst, along with James Bates,and SEC football sideline reporter and social media host, Elizabeth Moreau.
