PlayBox Technology is going through a delicate moment that has led to great confusion in the market.
The company, with R & D center in Bulgaria, announced recently its division into two companies.
On the one hand, PlayBox Technology, based in the UK and with Don Ash as president and Pavlin Rahnev as CEO; and secondly, Athensa, US-based led by Vassil Lefterov as CEO and Kamen Ferdinandov as CTO. Thus, one of the founders of one of the leading companies in the market specializing in solutions for automation and playout equipment separated undertaking a project in parallel.
Which until now it seemed a quiet corporate split has become an incendiary situation under a statement released by Don Ash and Mars Rahnev Pavlin.
As they say, Athensa, PlayBox spinoff founded by four exdirectivos Technology Company, presents "a different approach to PlayBox Technology Limited and directed to a separate market segment. Offer customer support is provided by Athensa its selected partners. This company in no way represents our innovative range of next-generation products PlayBox Technology ".
In the statement, Ash and Rahnev Athensa accused of "target PlayBox customers and resellers in an attempt to build its newly launched business. Sadly, this creates confusion in the market. In addition, the company has acquired the domain playbox.tv, So PlayBox Technology has been forced to change their domains now operating under www.playboxtechnology.com .
They also ensure that PlayBox Technology has managed to retain over 90% of support and development teams, especially with regard to the new virtual platform playout CloudAir.
"The success of PlayBox Technology is due to a combination of advanced solutions and our center dedicated to R & D in Bulgaria, our constant focus on innovation and our strong leadership team," they say.
Following these changes, PlayBox has strengthened its structure with Philip Neighbour, as COO; Ananth Sam, director of Solution Sales; and Ben Gunkel, as commercial director.
By Athensa it ensures that "both business entities have rights to sell existing products PlayBox developed and certified by the software vendor Digital Media Technologies. Both companies will inherit the rights to use the brand PlayBox intellectual property and Digital Media Technologies to further develop its sales and R & D ".
