Fleet of Fujifilm FDR Go Mobiles Arrives at Alder Hey

The new Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool opened its doors to its first patients in October 2015. The flagship hospital is the second largest children's hospital in the UK, and the new building was unveiled after a two year build that cost over £237m.
Fujifilm Medical was delighted to be asked to fit the brand new Radiology department with 5 FDR Go Mobiles, and the first of its new generation D-EVO II C24i digital detectors to be installed in Europe. The selection process was rigorous, as you would expect for such a high profile installation, but after several trials with different manufacturers the decision was made that FUJIFILM's solution best met their needs.
Lightweight and compact, the Fujifilm FDR Go Mobile is driven by a dual motor which means smoother, easier steering and quiet travel, providing the ultimate in mobility and flexibility. The compact size combined with safe, easy manoeuvrability enables instant imaging at the bedside, NICU or operating room. D-EVO II C24i digital detectors have been specifically designed to insert into the neonatal incubator tray, and being small and light are also the perfect fit for paediatric patients.
All the Alder Hey Mobiles have been fitted with fun graphics, which brighten up the wards and help to prevent the children feeling intimidated by the machines. Users report that they love the graphics as they get the children's attention and make the Mobile appealing.
