South African songbird Zamajobe Sithole has left South Africa waiting on new music since her 2013 album, Thula Mntwana. After releasing her new single, Bubble of Love in 2021, the singer is gearing up to release her new EP in January 2023.

ZAMAJOBE'S RISE IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY Zamajobe won over South Africans after she made it to the Idols SA top 10 in 2003. The following year, she released her debut album, Ndawo Yami in 2004 which featured standout tracks like Ye Weni Sani, Magic and the title track of the album.
Since then, she has released Ndoni Yamanzi in 2009 and Thula Mntwana in 2013 which both performed well with local music fans.

In 2021, Zamajobe told Drum that she took time away from her music career to deal with a few personal issues.
I didn't want to have a nervous breakdown in front of people. I chose to stay away and stay in my corner.
ZAMAJOBE IS READY FOR A BIG COMEBACK In an interview with SowetanLive, Zamajobe said taking a 10-year hiatus from the entertainment industry set her back .

I try not to have a lot of regrets but I regret leaving the industry. I feel I would have done so much and [been] ahead with a lot of things. I am one of those who believe in building her own empire.
She describes her upcoming single, Baba Wethu as just a prayer . The single is set to be released at the end of October. Her EP is set to be released in January next year.

WHAT CAN FANS EXPECT? The singer will be surprising her fans with an amapiano track on her upcoming EP. Zamajobe said she worked with young producers to achieve the perfect sound.
There is a bonus R&B track that was produced by T-Bos Mokwele's son I have been enjoying the sound we have created, which is fusing jazz and other sounds. I love exploration and creativity.
