Globo launches miniseries Dangerous Liaisons based on the French claic, in Cannes

During MIPTV, Globo will launch another fascinating super production that will glue the audience to the screen: Dangerous Liaisons.' With a meticulous characterization of the characters, plots that stir emotions, and cinema photography, the period miniseries portrays the lives of amoral, narcissistic personalities, concealed under an elegant, refined surface. Great actors, awe-inspiring sets, and flawless technique makes the audience dive head first into this articulate game of seduction and intrigue.

Set in a fictional Brazilian city in the late 1920's, Dangerous Liaisons' tells the story of Isabel D'Avila (Patr cia Pillar, The Party' and The Favorite'). A beautiful, rich widow of great reputation, Isabel hides a manipulative side that plays with love and seduction, without any commitment to those involved. She is the lover of Heitor Damasceno (Leopoldo Pacheco, Precious Pearl') and has fun with her partner in plotting, the bon vivant Augusto de Valmont (Selton Mello, The Invisible Woman'). After having her pride wounded by her lover, Isabel decides to take revenge on Heitor with the help of Augusto.

The refinement and glamour of the story are reflected in the images of the miniseries, which was entirely shot and post-produced in 4K. In addition to contributing to the audience's experience, UHD allows productions to take great artistic leaps, getting much closer to what you currently see in the movies. In Dangerous Liaisons,' the scenes were beautifully aged, showing that technology and art go together.

The luxury environment is reflected also in the grandeur of the sets and locations of the plot, which was shot in Rio de Janeiro, Argentina, and Uruguay. Nearly 30 staff members, ten actors, and more than 600 kilograms of luggage and equipment landed in Puerto Madryn, Patagonia. Breathtaking landscapes, beaches inhabited by penguins and sea lions, and huge cliffs where you can see whales that visit the region were the locations chosen for Isabel's intrigues. The team also shot in Santa Candida Palace, in Concepci n del Uruguay. Founded in 1847, the construction by Italian architect Pedro Fossati is considered a national historic monument. In the plot, the palace belongs to the aunt of bon vivant Augusto de Valmont.

Globo will be located at the P0.A1 stand during the MIPTV.
