SA film premieres in Namibia --

On Saturday 25 January at 19h00, South African feature film Of Good Report screens at the Goethe Centre, Windhoek in Namibia.
Presented by non-profit organisation AfricAvenir, the film explores the story of a schoolteacher whose illicit affair with one of his pupils turns to lustful obsession with tragic consequences.
Of Good Report has featured at a number of festivals and won the Artistic Bravery Award at the Durban International Film Festival (DIFF) as well as Best Film at the third Africa International Film Festival (AIFF).
Released in 2013, the movie is directed by Jahmil X.T. Qubeka, who has been hailed as South Africa s Hitchcock and produced by Michael Auret and Luzuko Dilima.
Hans-Christian Mahnke, curator of the film series African Perspectives at AfricAvenir, says: I look forward to Windhoek audiences seeing this superb film, this provocative thriller, this adaption and processing of Stanley Kubrick s 1962 Lolita, in Quentin Tarantino style. One, because of its artistic craft. Two, because it puts cinema from Africa where it belongs: At centre stage!
Of Good Report is suitable for audience members who are above the age of 18.
Tickets for the screening are N$30.
