Vuyo Ngcukana, Lunathi Mampofu and Khaya Kula are the latest cast to join the IsiXhosa drama series 1802: Love Defies Time.

The 1Magic drama series will debut season in May on 1Magic (DStv channel 103). With a star-studded cast, Mzansi awaits drama capped with thrills. ZiMoja reports Lulu Hela from Hela Media produced and co-created the compelling romantic series.

VUYO NGCUKANA CAST AS ZUKO IN 1MAGIC DRAMA SERIES 1802: LOVE DEFIES TIME' The drama series is a lifeline to several actors who have been off the screen after their shows were canned. In 2022 several drama series were canned, including The Queen and The River, leaving many star actors jobless.

CAST AND STORYLINE After a short break from small screens, the drama series will also see the return of Thembisa Mdoda-Nxumalo. She last wowed Mzansi with her on-screen character of Detective Vuyiswa on The Queen.

The plot and storylines deal with fantasy, mythology and romance. Sikelelwa Vuyeleni will play the lead role of Khosi, who accepts Zuko's marriage proposal.
Sikelelwa is best known for her on-screen character of Thando in the Moja Love telenovela Hope.
