Berklee Alumni Win Emmy Awards for Stranger Things, Barry, and More Four alumni were recognized for their accomplishments in composition, sound mixing, and sound editing.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presented four Berklee alumni with awards for their work in composition, sound mixing, and sound editing ahead of the 74th annual Emmy Awards on Monday, September 12.

Lena Glikson-Nezhelskaya B.M. '15 and Darrin Mann '91 both received Emmy Awards for sound editing on the hit shows Stranger Things and Barry, respectively. David Schwartz '74 won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Composition for a Documentary Series or Special (Original Dramatic Score) for his work on the Amazon series Lucy and Desi. Shane O'Connor B.M. '07, a rerecording mixer for the CBS special Adele: One Night Only, won the award for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special.

Overall, 19 Berklee alumni received Emmy nominations this year for sound mixing, sound editing, music composition, music direction, and other contributions to television programming.
