Story Highlights

College sports are evolving faster than ever and as the landscape of the industry continues to shift, there's never been a more important time to strengthen your video production strategies, staffs, and workflows..

Don't miss the 17th-annual SVG College Summit, where the college sports video production community comes together for two days of dynamic presentations, expert panel discussions, technology-driven case studies, behind-the-scenes facility tours, and invaluable networking opportunities.

This year's agenda features critical conversations around the topic of NIL (name, image, and likeness) and its impact on our work and offers in-depth breakout tracks designed to address the live production needs of large power conference programs and mid-major to smaller athletic departments. There's also a track exclusively for the creative side of the house, with a focus on postproduction content creation for digital and social media platforms.

REGISTER: SVG College Summit (May 28-29, Atlanta)

As always, the SVG College Summit is FREE to attend for anyone who is employed by or is a student worker at an athletics department, conference office, broadcast network, or production company.

Get an exclusive look at some of the industry's best work, connect with top producers, editors, and engineers, and exchange ideas on critical topics like live production innovations, creative content workflows, and staffing strategies for full-time and student crews. Don't miss this must-attend event-discover budget-friendly, cutting-edge technology, collaborate with industry-leading vendors, and set yourself up for success heading into the summer.

Schools and conferences of all shapes and sizes benefit from the program crafted by SVG and our talented SVG College Advisory Committee representing institutions from across the country.

Agenda highlights include:

Wednesday, May 28 The NIL Effect: How the New Business of College Athletics Impacts Video Production

There's no denying that college athletics is being dramatically altered by the era of name, image, and likeness (NIL), but what does it mean for our world of video production and distribution? How are internal content creation departments evolving to better support the athletic department and its student-athletes? How is content creation a more critical piece of recruiting? What are best practices for content sharing between athletic departments and student-athletes? How does this impact our live broadcasts and in-venue shows? This show opening panel breaks it all down.

Thursday, May 29 Blurring Reality: Is Virtual Production What's Next in College Content Creation?

One of the biggest trends in all of media and entertainment is the growth of augmented reality graphics and virtual production technologies. Whether it's green screen, LED walls, or as elaborate as working in a full volume, how are schools beginning the immerse themselves in the style of content creation? What tech does it take and how do you train your team to thrive?

Managing Your Team and Yourself: Mental Health in Today's Media Production Age

In today's hyperactive media age, how are you taking care of yourself and your team's mental well-being? Is it getting better out there? This panel discussion tackles the important topic of how we can continue to make ithe industry better today and for future generations.

POWER PROGRAMS BREAKOUT This breakout is for those looking to discuss live event production from the perspective of a large athletics program. All are welcome to attend but the conversations will center around topics pertinent to those from schools within conferences such as the SEC, Big Ten, ACC, and Big 12.

MID-MAJOR/SMALL PROGRAMS BREAKOUT This breakout is for those looking to discuss live event production from the perspective of a mid-major or small Division I program. All are welcome to attend but the conversations will center around topics pertinent to those from schools.

CREATIVE CONTENT BREAKOUT This breakout is for those who specialize in postproduction and content creation for social media and digital platforms. Come share creative ideas and practical logistics for getting things done and making an impact for your school or conference's brand.

There's more information to come of the event's agenda, the SVG College Sports Media Awards competition, and much more. In the meantime, you can watch video of all of the sessions from last year's event over at SVG PLAY.
