Pierre Mestrez and Maarten Carpentier have joined system integration company Broadcast Solutions to support chief technology officer Rainer Kampe.
The new CTO Office aims to drive innovation in media production and distribution, said the company, including integrating various technologies and systems, developing technical concepts, and collaborating with clients to create customised solutions, on premises and in the cloud.
Left to right: Maarten Carpentier, Rainer Kampe, Pierre Mestrez Mestrez joins the company as senior director, software and services. He previously worked at Riedel Communications, where he was responsible for pre-sales and channel partners.
Carpentier has been appointed director of solutions design. His career has included more than 12 years as CTO at DB Video.
The CTO Office has also been tasked with the gradual introduction and integration of new technologies to improve the efficiency, reach and quality of media production and distribution, added the company, and will aim to meet challenges around digital transformation and sustainability.
Our aim with the CTO Office is to build a multidisciplinary expert team of specialists in system integration, solution design, and software services, said Rainer Kampe, Broadcast Solutions CTO. Establishing standardised methods and promoting open knowledge sharing are essential components of this approach, so introducing DevOps practices is also a key focus for us, enhancing the efficiency of software development and deployment.
