FAREWELL NOMVELO MAKHANYA Actress Nomvelo Makhanya's character Lindiwe Ngema will be laid to rest in Scandal! this week after 10 years on the soapie. Fans of the soapie are also heartbroken for Nhlamulo as he's going to raise their daughter Larona by himself.

Viewers of the show wished Lindiwe wasn't written out as they still wanted to see with her on-screen with Nhlamulo (Mathews Rantsoma) and Larona.

The SAFTA-winning actress revealed to Daily Sun that she had to move on as there are lots of places and things she wants to explores.

Surely people didn't expect me to stay in one space for more than 10 years, did they? I'm still very young. There are a lot of places and things I want to explore. Nothing but greener pastures.

The past 10 years for me have been amazing. Scandal! gave me a platform to showcase my talent and I'll forever be grateful. I had so much fun, and I learned a lot and had so much fun. I got to work with legends. It's been nothing but a privilege.
