Following a two-year hiatus, Johannesburg Pride is set to return on Saturday 29 October for a colourful in-person event. The highly-anticipated LGBTQI event is set to take place in Rivonia, Sandton with a star-studded music lineup that includes amapiano star DBN Gogo and Afrikaans mumble rapper Angie oeh.

JOHANNESBURG PRIDE RETURNS! Johannesburg Pride is one of the most highly-anticipated LGBTQI events of the year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual events were held in 2020 and 2021 to commemorate the day.
As per MambaOnline, 2022 marks the 33rd Johannesburg Pride and it is set to be bigger than ever! The event will also feature the annual Pride Parade, where attendees will be encouraged to march in solidarity with the LGBTQI community.

We encourage you to walk with us where we remember the hardships those before us suffered. They walked so that we can run, said the organisers.
Remember, Pride gives you the platform, how you choose to show your Pride is up to you. Whether it's through activism or celebration, we don't discriminate.
WHAT CAN THE LGBTQI COMMUNITY EXPECT? This year, there will be a star-studded entertainment lineup for music lovers who are attending Johannesburg Pride. The likes of amapiano sensation DBN Gogo, DJ Puggy, DK Skye, DJ Biskit, DJ Kamogelo Shaun, Fabian and DJ Imme are all set to perform on the stage.
Other acts include Atlanta, Leqhwa, Likky Liks, Ms Party and Afrikaans mumble rapper Angie oeh. There will be a street market and various stalls selling food and beverages for attendees.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW Johannesburg Pride is set to take place on Saturday 29 October from 10:00 to 22:00. The Pride Parade will begin at 14:00.
The event will take place on Rivonia Road just outside of Sandton City. Entrance is free!
