(WATCH) Mandela: I choose CyrilThe issue in South Africa is Cyril Ramaphosa versus Jacob Zuma. Nelson Mandela chose Ramaphosa when he retired.

Citizens of South Africa and those who fled to safer pastures globally are reeling . . . confused as to who could be fit to wear the ANC crown which has been left tainted since Madiba left office on 14 June 1999 after just one term as President of South Africa. At the time, Nelson Mandela chose Cyril Ramaphosa to take over but instead there was another heir lurking in the background whose blood was a deeper blue than Ramaphosa s, Thabo Mbeki. So Madiba became an influencer and left the country in the hands of OR Tambo's heir because he was next in line and royalty rules over loyalty and all of that.

Zuma doesn't need to know how to read a big number No matter how many times Zuma is ridiculed for his number fails the man has the backing of the largest ethnic group, and nation, in South Africa: the Zulu people. Numbers estimate the Zulu population to be around 10 to 12m but it could be more and I am not going to make the digits confusing just in case Msholozi is reading this. On December 18 2007 Jacob Gewleyihlekisa Zuma dethroned Thabo Mbeki making him the third democratically-elected president of South Africa.

Zuma versus Ramaphosa The world revolves around stock markets, economies and business and Ramaphosa is a clear winner. After all, his counterparts couldn't handle him visiting King Charles before they started connecting his trip to London with Loadshedding. So the media assassination began, then there is Phala Phala and the law doesn't allow people to spend dollars locally. In the other corner is Zuma whose middle name Geleyihlekisa is derived from a Zulu-phrase translated: I cannot keep quiet when someone pretends to love me with a deceitful smile.

The verdict? Zuma has the backing of a large group of people but the markets (stock) don't need them.

Ramaphosa has the backing of the elite here and across the pond.
