KDDI announces au Summer 05 tablet models consisting of au\s first original tablet and the latest Xperia (TM) tablet

As au Summer 2015 tablet models, KDDI and Okinawa Cellular will launch the worlds thinnest and lightest [1] Xperia (TM) Z4 Tablet in the middle of July 2015, followed by aus first original tablet, Qua tab.

The Xperia (TM) Z4 Tablet is a new 10-inch tablet with the latest specifications suited to be a powerful business tool, while the Qua tab is an 8-inch tablet that is equipped with enhanced basic functions such as water resistance and dust resistance.

With these au Summer 2015 tablets equipped with the latest Octa-core CPU, you can enjoy comfortable data communications through 4G LTE network. In addition to the high-speed wireless 4G LTE communications, the mobility and convenient screen sizes of these tablets will allow you to enjoy rich contents, such as electronic books, videos, games and other applications smoothly.

Both the Xperia (TM) Z4 Tablet and Qua tab are equipped with a high-capacity battery that enables over 3 days of average use. [2] This allows you to enjoy both the smartphone and the tablet at the same time without worrying about the battery. Both models also include convenient features to work with smartphones - au Basic Home, a home screen application for au Android (TM) smartphones now customized for tablets, and au Share Link, which enables a tablet to display the screen of a smartphone to operate it.

Xperia (TM) Z4 Tablet In addition to being the worlds thinnest (approx. 6.1mm) and lightest (approx. 393g) [1], its 25% less bulky frame than that of the Xperia (TM) Z2 Tablet makes the Xperia (TM) Z4 Tablet more mobile and easily operable in spite of its approx. 10.1-inch screen. Equipped with a front camera using an approx. 5.1-megapixel CCD and wide-angle lens, this model offers a handy yet comfortable video conference involving multiple people. Furthermore, its convenient launcher function and a dedicated external keyboard corresponding to the F6-F10 alphanumeric conversion give you a PC-like operational feeling. Qua tab The Qua tab is the first au original model in the Qua tablet series that aims at providing new value to customers daily life.

Three colors, such as luscious white, elegant and bright pink with a matte texture and navy blue with a smooth feel of a soft-feel finish are available for your choice. Despite its compact and portable body with an 8-inch display, this model is also equipped with the latest Octa-core CPU powerful enough to entertain you with videos, games and other rich contents in a comfortable operating environment.
