New York State Selects HP as Top Choice for PC InitiativeHP wins five out of six categories for approximately 100,000 desktop, notebook PCs and education bundles

PALO ALTO, Calif., June 25, 2014 - HP today announced a two-year contract award for five out of six categories in the New York State (NYS) Aggregate PC Initiative.

As part of the Initiative, HP will be the first-choice provider for nearly 65,000 desktops and 27,000 notebooks for all state agencies. The NYS Aggregate PC Initiative streamlines procurement processes, improving enterprisewide reliability and reducing total cost of ownership, while providing users with a state-of-the-art computing solution.

HP continues to provide high-quality, reliable PCs that meet the needs of everyone from students to engineers, said John Solomon, senior vice president, Printing and Personal Systems, and managing director, Americas, HP. With New York K12 programs like Governor Cuomo's The Classroom of Tomorrow' and Shape the Future' being put into place, this win demonstrates HP's ability to provide reliable and affordable solutions that will power the next generation of innovators.

HP products that will be distributed as part of the NYS Aggregate PC Initiative include the HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Small Form Factor, HP ProDesk 400, HP ProBook 640 and the HP ProBook 455.
