Este lunes, 25 de noviembre, levanta el tel n una nueva edici n de Experimental que celebra su mayor a de edad con fuerzas renovadas, arrancando una edici n llena de novedades, en la que se incorpora la ficci n televisiva y el cine autoproducido como parte de las l neas de programaci n, al tiempo que se mantienen las secciones oficiales de Operas Primas Iberoamericanas, Cortometrajes y Escuelas Audiovisuales Nacionales.
La 18 edici n de Madridimagen tendr como sedes oficiales Cineteca, la Sala Berlanga y la Academia de Cine, donde se proyectar n las secciones oficiales y se desarrollar n los coloquios y seminarios que conforman las actividades paralelas. La gala clausura, se celebrar como es tradicional en el Cine Dor , sede de la Filmoteca Espa ola, el s bado 30 de Noviembre.
Han pasado 18 a os desde que en 1996 un peque o grupo de profesionales de la imagen fundara Madridimagen con el claro objetivo de promocionar, formar y difundir los valores del audiovisual en sus manifestaciones m s diversas. Por sus salas han pasado algunos de los profesionales m s destacados de la imagen cinematogr fica internacional. Desde directores de fotograf a oscarizados como Vitorio Storaro, Freddie Young, Sven Nykvist o John Mathieson o los espa oles Juan Ruiz Anch a y Jos Luis Alcaine a muchos de los grandes directores del panorama internacional, entre los que se encuentran Robert Guediguian , Andr Techin , Antonio-Pedro Vasconcelos o Humberto Sol s. Y ha premiado los primeros trabajos en el cortometraje de los directores m s relevantes de nuestra cinematograf a actual como J.A. Bayona (My vacation), Mateo Gil (Burglary) o Daniel S nchez Ar valo (Physics II).

La secci n oficial ofrecer un panorama del nuevo cine iberoamericano con siete de las peras primas m s destacadas de M xico, Brasil, Chile, Argentina, Cuba y Espa a , que competir n por alzarse con el premio DAMA. Los t tulos seleccionados son Asier Eta Biok, de Amaia Merino y Aitor Merino (Espa a); Bronze, de Claudio Perrin (Argentina); Magnetic tree, de Isabel Ayguarvives (Chile); Family Tour, de Liliana Torres (Espa a); Hombre de las gerberas, de Davek (Brasil); Melaza, de Carlos Lechuga (Cuba); y Regina, de Javier Avila (M xico).

El panorama cinematogr fico de nuestro pa s est cambiando. Las posibilidades que nos ofrecen las nuevas tecnolog as, unidas a la crisis por la que atraviesa el sector, han impulsado otras v as de financiaci n que desembocan en la autoproducci n. Son pel culas peque as, honestas y llenas de frescura que aportan un aire nuevo a nuestro cine: Illusion de Daniel Castro; People on sites de Juan Cavestany; Casting de Jorge Naranjo; Faraday de Norberto Ramos del Val; Waiting for September de Tina Olivares ser n los t tulos que compitan por el nuevo premio a la mejor pel cula autoproducida.

TV fiction
Madridimagen abre sus puertas a la ficci n televisiva, reconociendo as su potente valor audiovisual. Y en especial la ficci n televisiva espa ola convertida en motor en rgico del sector audiovisual y vivero de talento. Con la entidad de gesti n de los guionistas y directores DAMA como patrocinador del festival, el certamen pone el foco en los creadores de ficci n, tantas veces olvidados, pese a ser los principales art fices de la obra.
Con la intenci n de dar a conocer a los autores de las grandes series de nuestro pa s, Madridimagen crea esta nueva secci n, que contar cada a o con la participaci n de un jurado profesional compuesto por algunos de los periodistas y cr ticos de tv m s relevantes del pa s. Este ser el encargado de seleccionar desde esta perspectiva las tres mejores series de la ltima temporada, eligiendo finalmente una ganadora del premio Madridimagen a la Mejor Serie de Ficci n, que se dar a conocer el ltimo d a del certamen.
En el transcurso del festival se proyectar n en uno de los cap tulos m s representativos de cada una de las tres finalistas, celebrando un coloquio posterior, abierto al p blico y de entrada gratuita, con los creadores y algunos de los actores de dichas series.
Entendiendo por ltima temporada la que comprende las series televisadas entre el 1 de septiembre de 2012 y el 30 de junio de 2013, ya sean estrenos u obras con un recorrido m s amplio, emitidas en cualquier cadena de mbito generalista, el jurado ha decidido seleccionar series como Esecret l of old bridge, creada por Aurora Guerra y emitida por Antena 3; Gran Hotel, creada por Ram n Campos y Gema R. Neira y emitida por Antena 3; o Isabel, creada por Javier Olivares y emitida por TVE.
As mismo, el jurado ha decidido otorgar una menci n especial a Red bracelets, creada por Albert Espinosa y emitida, en su versi n espa ola, por Antena 3, en reconocimiento a la relevancia de una serie que, proviniendo de una auton mica, ha conseguido no s lo llegar a la emisi n nacional, sino traspasar fronteras, convirti ndose en fen meno en otros pa ses de nuestro entorno como Italia e incluso despertando el inter s de algunas de las principales figuras del audiovisual internacional como Steven Spielberg.
