Dejero simplifies set-up and connectivity services with collect and go' EnGo packages and boosts technical support for broadcasters

Dejero, an innovator in cloud-managed solutions that provide video transport and internet connectivity while mobile or in remote locations, is supporting broadcast rights holders and other local and international broadcast and media organisations in their live coverage of the Winter Games in Pyeongchang.

Dejero's ready to go' transmission equipment rental packages consist of pre-tested EnGo mobile transmitters, batteries, chargers, backpacks and a provision of region-specific SIM cards which provide cellular connectivity from different carriers in South Korea for optimal performance in the local cellular network environment.

Mountainous terrain, remote venues and weather conditions make covering the Winter Games a challenge, explains Bogdan Frusina, founder at Dejero.

Rights-holding broadcasters supplement the main event feeds with athlete interviews and on-location expert commentary, and getting those feeds can be a challenge at the outdoor venues. By pre-loading our EnGo transmitters with multiple SIM cards serviced by different carriers, and by pre-configuring modem modules specifically for operation in South Korea; we're not only alleviating hassle for the production crews, we're ensuring that remote broadcasters stay seamlessly connected in the challenging conditions of the Pyeongchang landscape. If one network path deteriorates, EnGo automatically adjusts to deliver exceptional picture quality with low latency.

Dejero's offering features the EnGo; a compact and modular mobile transmitter that encodes high-quality video and transmits over multiple IP networks. It is ideal for newsgathering, sports coverage, and live event broadcasting from remote locations, and while in motion. It can be camera-mounted, vehicle-mounted, and carried in a backpack.

Broadcasters of the Winter Games are also supported by Dejero's on-site technical team, as well as its 24/7 telephone support service. The additional support is provided throughout the sixteen-day event including at the coastal cluster in the Gangneung Olympic Park and the mountain cluster in Alpensia Resort, Daegwallyeong-myeon.

Prior to the games Dejero set up a bespoke logistics service to make the provision of equipment as easy as possible; customers had the choice of collecting Dejero equipment in their country of origin or onsite in Pyeongchang, with the drop off' process being just as simple. Dejero also keeps equipment on hand if backup units are required.
