Mammo Screen to set up Belfast office

London and Belfast, Thursday 22 October 2009:

The indie's development plans will be supported by Northern Ireland Screen. Mammoth Screen has already been actively recruiting an up and coming script editor to be based at the new office in Belfast.

The office will be headed up by Mammoth Screen existing joint MD, Michele Buck, and the company will exclusively develop a slate of projects in Northern Ireland, overseen by Buck and fellow joint MD, Damien Timmer.

This new development follows on from Mammoth Screen's recent successes including Wuthering Heights which was broadcast on ITV1 in August. The company has also recently completed work on Margot, a film about the life of Dame Margot Fonteyn which will transmit on BBC Four later this year. Other recent commissions include Amanda Holden: Fantasy Livess and Bouquet of Barbed Wire both for ITV1.

Buck and Timmer are also executive producers on the hugely anticipated re-make of The Prisoner starring Jim Caviezel and Sir Ian McKellen for ITV Studios and US channel, AMC.
