Aantal internet en mobiele klanten groeit flink

Resultaten derde kwartaal:
Groei van 14.000 nieuwe internet en 20.000 nieuwe mobiele klanten
Afname RGU's1) is met 16.000 (q-o-q) en met 7.000 (y-o-y) verbeterd tot 11.000, door investeringen in onze producten en klantenservice waarbij totaal aantal RGU's uitkomt op 9.649.000

In het derde kwartaal van 2016 hebben we de stijgende lijn van de afgelopen kwartalen doorgezet. Voor het vijfde achtereenvolgende kwartaal realiseren we groei op internetgebied met de aanwas van 14.000 nieuwe klanten. Met betrekking tot televisie doet Horizon TV het erg goed en hebben we recent de 1 miljoenste abonnee mogen verwelkomen, een groei van meer dan 75% in een jaar tijd. Om de televisie ervaring verder te verbeteren laten we nu topwedstrijden uit de Engelse Premier League zien op Ziggo Sport. Ook bieden we toegang tot de beste Nederlandse films en series via Videoland en kun je binnenkort ook het Netflix aanbod eenvoudig via het Horizon TV platform zien. Door een exclusieve overeenkomst kunnen onze klanten in 2017 tevens blijven genieten van HBO content middels het nieuwe Ziggo Movies & Series XL pakket wat we op korte termijn gaan lanceren. We kijken vol vertrouwen uit naar de volgende fase van het bedrijf als de fusie met Vodafone Nederland rond eind 2016 goedgekeurd is .
Het derde kwartaal van 2016 leverde een verbeterd operationeel resultaat op, wat heeft geleid tot het kleinste verlies van abonnementen (RGU's) in twee jaar. Dit jaar hebben we voortdurend ge nvesteerd in de uitbouw van onze waarde strategie, door het toevoegen van nieuwe functionaliteiten, hogere breedband snelheden, meer tv aanbod aan onze product bundels en een verbeterd klantenservice programma. Deze investeringen hebben hun vruchten afgeworpen met als resultaat dat het verlies van 11.000 abonnementen in dit kwartaal een verbetering is, zowel ten opzichte van vorig kwartaal als vorig jaar. Dit resultaat was voornamelijk te danken aan hogere verkopen door onze succesvolle marketing campagnes en tevens door lager klantverloop als gevolg van de eerder genoemde investeringen. In augustus hebben we de Engelse Premier League toegevoegd aan het Ziggo Sport kanaal, wat het begin markeerde van een grote en nieuwe marketing campagne, die de nadruk legde op de waarde van Ziggo Sport en ons productportfolio. In september hebben we de verkopen gestimuleerd met een grote overstapcampagne door het aanbieden van elk Alles-in-1 pakket voor 34,95 in de eerste drie maanden f het aanbieden van een gratis tablet voor nieuwe klanten. Deze promotie resulteerde in de beste verkoopcijfers in twaalf maanden tijd. In mei zijn we gestart met ons grootste interne IT-project sinds de fusie in 2015 tussen Ziggo en UPC en worden klanten gemigreerd naar n gemeenschappelijke CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform. Dit stelt ons in staat om onze klantenadministratie en -registratie te vereenvoudigen, waarmee we een effici ntere operatie en kosten besparingen in de toekomst verwachten. Op 30 september hadden we meer dan 90% van onze klanten gemigreerd met minimale impact en we verwachten de migratie in Q4 in zijn geheel af te ronden.
Als we de resultaten per productgroep bekijken, zien we dat het verloop van onze televisie abonnees in Q3 is afgenomen met 41% ten opzichte van vorig kwartaal en 56% ten opzichte van vorig jaar tot een verlies van 19.000 abonnementen (RGU's). Dit resultaat is vooral het gevolg van hogere verkopen ten opzichte van vorig kwartaal en lager klantverloop ten opzichte van vorig jaar. Gedurende het derde kwartaal zijn we doorgegaan met onze buurmannen marketing campagne om aandacht te geven aan onze unieke productpakketten, inclusief de voordelen van ons nieuwe generatie tv platform Horizon TV, met een focus op ons unieke sport tv-aanbod. Deze campagne was succesvol, aangezien we eind oktober eindigden met meer dan n miljoen Horizon tv-abonnees, een forse stijging ten opzichte van de 898.000 aan het einde van het tweede kwartaal.
