Both were re-elected with an absolute majority at the EBU's General Assembly in Cyprus

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has re-elected its president and vice-president.
President and vice-president of the EBU, Delphine Ernotte Cunci and Cilla Benk Delphine Ernotte Cunci, CEO of France T l visions and Swedish Radio director general, Cilla Benk , will remain as president and vice-president respectively, following their re-election at the EBU General Assembly. Both were re-elected with an absolute majority and will continue in their roles for the 2025-2026 term of office.
Following a 26 year career at Orange S.A. (formerly France T l com), Cunci was appointed CEO of France T l visions in 2015. She was elected to the role of president of the EBU in 2020.
I am honoured to be re-elected as EBU President for another term, and pledge to always fight for our independence from all powers, said Cunci. This fight is crucial for freedom of expression, for sustainable financing and fair prominence of our public service media.
Benk was appointed director general & CEO of Swedish Radio in 2012 and has served on the EBU executive board since 2010, becoming vice-president in 2023.
She said: I am delighted to be re-elected as EBU Vice-President. My priority going forward is to fortify the role of media and journalism in safeguarding truthful information. Europe's public broadcasters are on the front lines of this critical battle. As falsehoods become easier to produce, the truth becomes even more valuable to reduce the society s vulnerability.
