Quest s World of Wonder l sst sich in einem Satz zusammenfassen: Wir besuchen interessante Orte, um faszinierende Menschen zu treffen, erkl rt Richard Quest, Moderator des neuen Reiseformats auf CNN International. In der Sendung geht es jedoch nicht um Tourismus, Essen oder Kultur - sondern um die Entdeckung der Essenz eines Ortes.
Quest erg nzt: Wir sind keine Touristen, wir sind Reisende. Es geht in der Sendung darum, die Menschen zu treffen, die das Herz der Stadt offenbaren. Der Zuschauer soll erfahren, was den Ort ausmacht und dabei das besondere Gef hl erleben, dazu zu geh ren.
Jeden Monat reist Richard Quest an einen anderen Ort, um tief in seine DNA zu blicken und der Frage nachzugehen, was eine Stadt und ihre Bewohner antreibt. Der Zuschauer lernt au er-gew hnliche Pers nlichkeiten kennen und erf hrt, wie sich im Laufe der Zeit eine einzigartige Struktur in einer Stadt gebildet hat, die sich heute noch weiterentwickelt.
Die erste Folge f hrt den Zuschauer in das Herz einer Stadt, die derzeit von der ganzen Welt genau beobachtet wird: Washington, D.C. Ausgehend von den gro en politischen Umw lzungen der Geschichte und Gegenwart erforscht Quest die Macht Washingtons - das Gute und das Schlechte - und zwar mit Hilfe derer, die die Hebel gezogen haben.
Die Menschen sind fasziniert vom Geist einer Stadt - etwas, das ber Jahrtausende, Jahrhunderte oder Jahrzehnte aufgebaut wurde und genau das definiert, wof r der Ort heute steht und was er seinen Bewohnern und Besuchern bietet , sagt Ellana Lee, Senior Vice President, CNN International. Niemand ist besser darin, solche Geschichten zu finden und zu erz hlen als Richard Quest - ein wahrer Weltenbummler mit weitreichender Erfahrung was das Reisen und die damit verbundene Berichterstattung betrifft. Die Zuschauer von CNN werden in eine Welt des Staunens entf hrt, die sie gleicherma en informieren und inspirieren wird.
Quests World of Wonder wird im Rahmen der Staffel auch Berlin, Budapest, Panama City und weitere faszinierende St dte erkunden. Die halbst ndige TV-Sendung wird online auf einer eigenen Seite unter CNN Travel und auf den sozialen Netzwerken um zus tzliche Inhalte erg nzt.
