ITV Encore acquires Swedish drama Jordskott
ITV Encore has acquired Jordskott, the critically acclaimed Nordic mystery thriller distributed by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
The 10-part series produced by Palladium Fiction premiered on SVT in February to critical and ratings success, achieving a 110% increase on the slot average.*
Jordskott is set deep in the ancient forests of Sweden. Seven years after the disappearance of her daughter Josefine, police investigator Eva Th rnblad is still trying to cope with the grief of her loss. Even though her daughter was said to have drowned, Eva knows in her heart that someone had taken her child on that fatal day by the Silverh jd lake. So when a young boy goes missing in the same forest of Silverh jd, Eva returns to delve into the dark mystery that haunts her. As she is drawn into the investigation she learns that that there is a much deeper and darker force in operation but how far is she willing to go to protect the one she loves?

The deal was brokered by Angela Jain for ITV and Jayne Redpath for ITV Studios Global Entertainment. ITV Encore, a channel dedicated to drama, is exclusively available on Sky platforms and NOW TV.
*Jordskott premiered on 16th February and consolidated to 1.6 million viewers. It was the second most watched programme on any channel that day.
