Winner of ITV Daytime's biggest ever competition is announced
Ann from Manchester was today unveiled as the winner of ITV Daytime's Make Me a Millionaire competition, and she called in to four of the channel's flagship Daytime programmes to share the news of her big win.
On This Morning she spoke to Phillip and Amanda at 11.32am which is the exact time, four weeks, five days previously that she had entered the competition.
Ann told them: I'm going to buy a house and learn how to drive and get myself a little car, invest some of the money and spread it out amongst family.
On life before the win Ann said: I recently came out of my job, and am still looking for work so this takes some of the pressure off. I've had to sell my house due to me losing my job but instead of going on to rent now I can actually buy a house.
On what she is going to do with the money, Ann told Phillip and Amanda: I'm going to buy a house, learn to drive and buy a car, I'm going to treat the kids to a holiday, they want to go to Disneyland. And I'll help out the other family members of course.
Earlier this morning Ann told Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid and Charlotte Hawkins, about the moment she found out via a phone call from Andi Peters that she had won one million pounds:
I thought someone was joking with me, I thought someone was having a laugh with me and having a wind-up...It took a few days to settle in!
She told Lorraine: It was a shock because I didn't think I was ever going to win. I just entered it out of a whim really.
And at lunch time she told the Loose Women: Last Christmas - it was tight but we managed. This Christmas I don't have to worry or think about what I'm going to spend, I don't have to think on a budget. Everyone will be happy and we can get all the family round and have a good time.
