Barco Demetra skin imaging solution and MediPortal announces new partnership Kortrijk, Belgium, 10 November 2021 - Barco today announced a new partnership between its Demetra skin imaging systems business with MediPortal, the Belgian-based healthcare software developer. The partnership will integrate Demetra's skin imaging platform with MediPortal's Mediris Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, creating a seamless workflow for dermatologists in performing skin examinations.

Demetra provides digital dermoscopy systems that support the clinician in making management strategies, diagnosis, treatments and follow-ups with their patients. Mediris is an online platform built to support health care professionals to collect, store, manage and transmit a patient's electronic medical record in a secure way. The integration will allow a clinician to sync patient demographics from Mediris on Demetra's point of care diagnostics device and then provide access to the diagnostic imaging via Mediris' EHR platform.
