Die beiden f hrenden internationalen Automobilzulieferer Schaeffler und Continental stellen auf dem 35. Internationalen Wiener Motorensymposium (8.-9. Mai 2014) das Gasoline Technology Car (GTC) vor. Das Gemeinschaftsprojekt GTC zeigt, wie eine vernetzte Integration von Mild Hybrid Schl ssel technologien auch bei einem bereits sehr effizienten Pkw mit hubraumreduziertem Dreizylinder-Ottomotor, wie dem hier verwendeten Basis-Fahrzeug Ford Focus 1.0 l EcoBoost, zus tzlich bis zu 17 % an Kraftstoff und damit an CO2 einsparen kann.
Um diese Dimension der Hybridisierung zu erreichen, haben wir Schl sseltechnologien aus den Portfolios von Continental und Schaeffler im GTC integriert und konsequent vernetzt. Das Potenzial dieser Strategie l sst sich an den Ergebnissen ablesen, die wir bei einem Fahrzeug erreichen, dessen Motor f r seine Effizienz und Leistung als International Engine of the Year 2012 und 2013 ausgezeichnet wurde , sagt Jos Avila, Vorstandsmitglied von Continental und Leiter der Division Powertrain.
Prof. Peter Gutzmer, Schaeffler Vorstand f r Forschung und Entwicklung, erl utert warum das so ist: Durch Wechselwirkung der Komponenten und Technologien im GTC k nnen wir Effekte nutzen, die dem Autofahrer im realen Fahrbetrieb auf der Stra e konkrete Vorteile beim Verbrauch und der Fahrbarkeit bringen. Wegen des Integrationsansatzes betonen die beiden Automobilzulieferer, ist beim GTC das Ganze mehr als die Summe seiner Teile und fassen das in der Formel 1 + 1 = 3 zusammen.
Hauptelemente des Integrationsansatzes
Das Demonstrationsfahrzeug GTC wurde von den Projektpartnern umfassend auf Fahrzeugebene optimiert: So sind zum einen eine Continental Einspritzung und Motorsteuerung angepasst worden und ersetzen das System des Referenzfahrzeugs. Zum anderen wurden zahlreiche innovative Komponenten und Technologien hinzugef gt. Eine Schl sselrolle spielen dabei das Continental 48 Volt Eco Drive System als milde Hybridisierung sowie die elektrifizierte Kupplung (E-Clutch) zur Kraft bertragung und das Thermomanagement von Schaeffler. Hinzu kommen Ma nahmen zur Reduktion der Reibungsverluste im Motor und ein elektrisch heizbarer Katalysator (Emitec). In Summe erreicht der Technologietr ger GTC mit diesen Komponenten und der intelligenten Betriebsstrategie nicht nur eine um bis zu 17 % h here Kraftstoffeffizienz, sondern erf llt auch die Emissionsgrenzwerte der kommenden Abgasnorm Euro 6c (2017/2018).
Um den 3-Zylinderottomotor mit 1 l Hubraum trotz der modifizierten, konsequent z ndwinkeloptimierten Betriebsstrategie fahrbar zu machen und zus tzliche Hybrid-Fahrstrategien nutzen zu k nnen, verf gt das GTC ber eine unabh ngige zweite Antriebseinheit, das 48 V Eco Drive System. Dazu geh rt eine E-Maschine samt integriertem Entkopplungsspanner. Der elektrische Traktionsmotor/Generator ist ber einen modifizierten Riementrieb an den Verbrenner angebunden. Ein DC/DC Wandler sorgt f r die elektrischen Energiefl sse zwischen den Spannungslagen 12 V und der 48 V Seite mit Li-Ion Akku (2-Batterienkonzept). Mit dieser Hybridisierung wird der Verbrennungsmotor im niedrigen Drehzahlbereich elektrisch unterst tzt (E-Boost-Funktion), um ein attraktives Ansprechverhalten ohne Turboloch zu erreichen. Die Voraussetzung daf r schafft die hohe Effizienz der 48 V Rekuperation: Das GTC kann im NEFZ ann hernd doppelt so viel Bewegungsenergie rekuperieren wie das Fahrzeug f r das Bordnetz braucht.
Zum strengen Design-to-Cost Ansatz des Technologeitr gers geh rt, dass das GTC mit einem konventionellen 6-Gang-Handschaltgetriebe ausger stet ist. Dennoch nutzt seine Fahrstrategie energiesparende Funktionen wie das Coasting (= Ausrollen ohne Gas). Erm glicht wird dies von der ins Fahrzeug integrierten elektrifizierten Kupplung von Schaeffler. Sie koppelt den Motor in Coasting-Phasen vom Antriebsstrang ab. Weil beim Motorleerlauf keine Luft in den Brennr umen verdichtet werden muss, steht mehr Energie f r die Rekuperation zur Verf gung.
Diese Energie erm glicht wiederum andere effizienzsteigernde Ma nahmen. Ein Beispiel ist der elektrisch heizbare Katalysator, der die Rekuperationsenergie des vorherigen Fahrzyklus nutzt, um beim Kaltstart schneller seine Arbeitstemperatur zu erreichen.
Eine Schaeffler Split-Cooling Architektur mit Drehschieberventil erm glicht im GTC zudem ein abgestuftes Thermomanagement. Es dient dazu, die Herausforderungen innovativer Hybrid Fahrstrategien zu bew ltigen. So kann der Motor vor bergehend von der K hlmittelzirkulation abgetrennt werden, um schneller auf Temperatur zu kommen beziehungsweise seine Temperatur l nger zu halten. Mit dem schnellen Aufheizen werden die motorischen Reibungsverluste geringer, was die Effizienz erh ht, eine Strategie die zus tzlich durch reibungsoptimierte Komponenten verfolgt wird. Als Teil einer vorausschauenden Betriebsstrategie kann beispielsweise vor einer absehbaren Rekuperationsphase (Gef llestrecke) ebenfalls fr hzeitig die K hlung abgeschaltet werden.
Die aus der Serie entnommene Continental Motorsteuerung im GTC ist so ausgelegt, dass sie zus tzlich zum Verbrennungsmotor die vollst ndige komplexe Steuerung auch der Mild Hybrid Komponenten einschlie lich der Betriebsstrategie bernehmen kann. Diese Moto
