Maria Luiza Ribeiro Viotti besucht Schaeffler-Standort Lahr
Knapp 10.000 Kilometer liegen zwischen dem badischen Lahr und dem brasilianischen Sorocaba. Als k rzlich die brasilianische Botschafterin Maria Luiza Ribeiro Viotti zur Werksbesichtigung kam, schienen sich beide Schaeffler-Standorte ganz nah zu sein. Wir pflegen seit Jahren eine enge Kooperation, ber die wir sehr dankbar sind , sagte die Botschafterin in ihrem Gru wort. Die enge Verkn pfung zwischen Lahr und Sorocaba l sst sich bereits mit Blick auf die Historie aufzeigen: 1955 begann die Erfolgsgeschichte des Schaeffler-Standorts Lahr, damals mit Fokus auf die Herstellung von Fotoapparaten und W lz-lagern. Drei Jahre sp ter ffnete die Rolamentos Schaeffler do Brasil Ltda. in Sao Paulo seine Werkstore - der erste lateinamerikanische Standort jenes Unternehmens, das mit ber 170 Standorten in 50 L ndern weltweit pr sent ist und rund 84.000 Mitarbeiter besch ftigt.
Volker Kamps, Leiter des Schaeffler-Standorts Lahr f hrte die Ehreng ste durch die Werkshallen und unterlegte den Rundgang durch die Produktlinien mit Daten und Fakten. Knapp 20 Millionen Lager und Komponenten werden hier jeden Monat hergestellt , f hrte Kamps aus. Einige Lager k nnen bis zu 28 Kilogramm schwer werden. Derzeit seien in Lahr mehr als 1.100 Personen t tig. Lager spielen auch in der Geschichte von Schaeffler in Brasilien eine wesentliche Rolle. Bereits 1959 begann man mit der Herstellung von Nadellagern f r Volkswagen. Im Jahr 1961 laufen die ersten Lager f r den VW K fer vom Band. Seit 1975 werden Kupplungsdruckplatten und Kupplungsscheiben am Schaeffler-Standort Sorocaba produziert. Im Jahr 2003 schlie en sich die Marken LuK, INA und FAG unter der Schaeffler Gruppe zusammen. Die Schaeffler Brasil Ltda. gr ndet sich und feiert im Jahr 2008 ihr 50-j hriges Jubil um. Heute besch ftigt Schaeffler in Sorocaba mehr als 3.500 Mitarbeiter und geh rt zu einem der wichtigsten Arbeitgeber in der Region.
Mir w re wichtig, die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Brasilien und Deutschland gerade im Ingenieurs- und naturwissenschaftlichen Bereich zu intensivieren , betonte Botschafterin Viotti im Anschluss an den Rundgang. Brasilien ist seit jeher der gr te Handelspartner Deutschlands in Lateinamerika. Es liegt mir am Herzen, dass die enge Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Standorten Lahr und Sorocaba bestehen bleibt. In Brasilien arbeite man derzeit an einem Programm, in welchem brasilianische Nachwuchs-Ingenieure verst rkt an deutschen Partnerstandorten ausgebildet werden sollen.
