House of Zwide actress Gaisang K Noge, who bagged the role of Dr Monthso Naledi in The Wife season two says playing the Showmax character is easier.

I CAN RELATE TO DR NALEDI MONTSHO' The talented actress Gaisang K Noge plays Mampho in e.tv's fashion drama House of Zwide and Dr Naledi Montsho in Showmax's award-winning telenovelaThe Wife.

Noge tells Drum Magazine that she loves seeing people's reactions to both characters and how they are so very different.

I like them for different reasons. Naledi is a bit easier to play because I can relate to her, so I am more similar to her. I have gotten to know Mampho quite well because she has existed for over a year now, so I understand her.

As a performer, I never judge my characters, but I agree with people, Mampho o stout (naughty). There are times when even I say, aowa mara girl' (no girl) when she does certain things.

The actress adds that Mampho is dodgy and sometimes exhausting and didn't grow up under the best circumstances.

I think Qhawe and Naledi shock each other. He thinks this woman has some nerve blocking his car and not being bothered and that attracts him to her. On the other hand, she sees how charming and consistent he is. It's cute, but boy stop it.

The scene showing that Naledi got body image issues was everything and more for me and Qhawe s reassuring words for me had me blushing like a dumb bitch ,pls mahn they got it right

THE WIFE' SEASON THREE LOVE STORY Noge's on-screen lover Qhawe (played by Kwenzo Ngcobo) always seems to appear out of nowhere when she least expects it and he is already declaring his undying love for her. Stalker much?

Yes, his approach is a little bit stalker-like, but she does not feel threatened in any way because he is so gentle and kind. So that soft energy that he brings is attractive to her, says Gaisang.

I was on set shooting when my agent called me about auditioning for this role. After I was done shooting, I went to read up on her as much as I could. I was online until 2 am the following morning. I remember telling my mom that we had to get the hard copy in the morning. I went for a call back twice and the rest is history.

Reading up on her, I quickly realized that I understood her, and I saw my face when I was reading about her.

There is a lot of love between Naledi and Qhawe and a lot of passion, viewers should keep watching to see how their story unfolds. For Naledi, just like anycharacter I play, as Gaisang I personally have an idea or mind map of who she is, but I let her colour herself in.

Noge adds that viewers of the Showmax hit telenovela can expect more oohs and aahs as the story progresses and they will be feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
