Engineers join big names including Deadmau5 for three days of seminars

Paul Pritchard, engineer at Abbey Road Studios
This year, Abbey Road Studios will be bringing their expertise to BBC Introducing LIVE at Tobacco Docks, London on the 8th, 9th and 10th November. Their mastering and recording engineers will be hosting two interactive sessions per day in the Studio Excellence Room. Studio Essentials: Capturing Your Sound, hosted by assistant engineer Paul Pritchard, and Mastering and Why You Need It, hosted by Mastering engineers Christian Wright, Alex Gordon and Simon Gibson. As well as the Abbey Road sessions, ticket holders will have access to over 30 different industry seminars, Q&As, performances, and the chance to get your music heard in the BBC A&R Feedback Centre. Artists such as Deadmau5, Example, Declan McKenna, Paul Smith of Maximo Park and many others will be presenting their own talks and sessions. Find out more about the event here.

Abbey Road engineer Paul Pritchard will share his experience of working in one of the most famous recording studios in the world - from live recordings with Paul McCartney and Alt-J through to score recording for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Whether you're a bedroom musician or a gigging band, this session will help you find out what it takes to get the best out of your studio session and find your sound.

The mastering facilities and engineers at Abbey Road have been highly regarded for decades. Mastering engineers, Christian Wright, Alex Gordon and Simon Gibson will be (figuratively) opening the doors to their mastering suites and sharing what it takes to create world-class sound, answer any of your mastering questions and explain how to best prepare for the final stage of the music-making process.
