More about the biopic The role of the late kwaito veteran Mandoza will be played by Wiseman Mncube in the upcoming much-awaited biopic. The actor has been critically acclaimed for his roles in popular telenovela The Wife on Showmax as Mqhele Zulu and Uzalo on Sabc 1.

The news was exclusively confirmed by noted entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela through his entertainment tea segment on Twitter.The Mandoza biopic will premiere on BET and is co-produced by his widow, Mpho Tshabalala who has openly been vocal about her grief since her husband passed away on 18 September 2016.

Wiseman Mncube has beat out a number of talented South African actors for the role including the fan favourite Diep City actor Mduduzi Mabaso who was tipped to portray Mandoza when the news of the biopic first started to hit the social media streets.

It will be interesting to see what Wiseman will bring to the role. He has been known to surprise audience as there was a lot of negative comments that surrounded his appointment as Bonko Khoza's replacement as Mqhele on the hit telenovela. The public now cannot get enough of him, especially since the telenovela is on a production break.
The Mandoza biopic is currently in pre-production and is set to start production in the upcoming weeks. There has been no date set for the official release on BET.
