If you have already registered to visit one of The Tour venues then you will have seen a selection of the many manufacturers showing their latest releases. If you haven't then it may be time to take a look as The Tour is timed to allow for post NAB kit to reach the UK and as such we have numerous first showings for you to take a closer look at.
See the Blackmagic Design URSA that won much acclaim in Las Vegas. This plus their complete line-up of cameras will certainly be a stand to head for.
The Panasonic Genius Zone will show cameras such as the GH4, PX-270, AC90 and HE60 and Sony will have the PMW-200 and 300 plus a range of DSLR's and other gear for you to try out.
JVC will give an airing to the new GY-HM850 camcorder with Canon showing off the C500PL, C300EF, 5d MKIII and a good selection of lenses, including some UK firsts we are told! On the subject of lenses Zeiss will show the CP.2's, 28-80 & 70-200 Cinema Zooms and a variety of SLR lenses for you to take a look at.
Another UK first is the Hitachi Z-HD6000 Camera Channel shown off by Gearhouse Broadcast who also have Lawo, Ross and Fujinon products on their stand.
It's not all about cameras of course. The Atomos range continues to grow and you can see the new Ninja Star plus a preview of the Shogun to be released in September. Audio Developments will be demonstrating their world famous portable mixer range and TNP Broadcast will be showing products from Streamstar and miniCaster.
Support will come from Libec and, another UK first, you'll get the chance to see the new Allex slider system. The ever knowledgeable chaps from Global Distribution will be showing solutions from G-Technology and mLogic so if there is a storage or back-up question in your mind then now's the time to ask it.
The Tour is aimed at getting up close to kit and having time to ask questions and get professional advice directly from the manufacturer. Come and spend a lunch hour or a day with us, either way you'll be very welcome.
It's not all about kit though of course and we have a great line up of speakers, seminars, talks and master classes for you to take part in.
