Jada Pinkett Smith has revealed that Chris Rock asked her out on a date thinking she and Will Smith were off.

Rock(58) was smacked in the face by Will Smith onstage at the 2022 Academy Awards after he made a joke about her shaved head.

Speaking to People this week, Jada Pinkett how her relationship with Rock goes far beyond the infamous Oscars slap.

Chris rock asked Jada Pinkett out thinking she was divorcing Will I think every summer all the reports would come out that me and Will were getting a divorce. And this particular summer, Chris, he thought that we were getting a divorce, she said.

So he called me and basically he was like: I'd love to take you out.' And I was like: What do you mean?' He was like: Well, aren't you and Will getting a divorce?' I was like: No. Chris, those are just rumours.' And he profusely apologised and that was that.

In the interview, Jada Pinkett also revealed that she and her husband Will Smith had been separated since 2016.
By the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying, said Jada Pinkett.
The former couple have two kids; Jaden and Willow Smith. Will has a son Trey with ex-wife Sheree Zampino.
