Harmonic shows at CES the first workflow Ultra HD 4 K to 120 Hz. El contenido transcodificado UHD a 24/30/60 fps se emplear para alimentar una plataforma de Ultra Alta Definici n a 120 Hz. de Sigma, desarrollando as un workflow de coste efectivo.
Coincidiendo con CES 2014 en Las Vegas, Harmonic llevar a cabo varias demostraciones de emisi n en Ultra Alta Definici n 4K, junto a partners como Broadcom Corporation, Sigma Designs y Samsung Electronics.
Thierry Fautier, vicepresidente de solutiones de marketing en Harmonic, sostiene que en CES, Harmonic y sus partners tecnol gicos llevar n a cabo notables demostraciones de un entorno real en Ultra Alta Definici n, mostrando como la distribuci n HEVC de contenidos UHDTV puede llevarse a cabo de forma sencilla y con gran calidad a un amplia rango de dispositivos de consumo .
Entre las demostraciones que se llevar n a cabo en Las Vegas destaca un workflow en vivo en 4K a 30 Hz. utilizando para ello la plataforma de transcodificaci n basada en ficheros ProMedia Xpress de Harmonic, y los decodificadores de ltima generaci n BCM7445 de Broadcom.
Tambi n podremos ver demos a 120 Hz., utilizando para ello la transcodificaci n de ProMedia Xpress. El contenido transcodificado UHD a 24/30/60 fps se emplear para alimentar una plataforma de Ultra Alta Definici n a 120 Hz. de Sigma, desarrollando as un workflow de coste efectivo.
ProMedia Xpress ser testado tambi n en interoperabilidad con los televisores Samsung 4K a 60 Hz.
Empleando una tecnolog a basada en el est ndar HEVC, ProMedia Xpress permitir en CES 2014 transferir contenido en 4K Ultra Alta definici n a un sencillo PC que alimentar una pantalla Panasonic UHDTV de 65 pulgadas a 60 fps. Mientras que las demostraciones previas a 4K 60 Hz emplearon hasta ahora sistemas SDI caros para dirigir la se al a monitores profesionales, la soluci n que Harmonic presenta en CES permitir el env o de 4K a bajo coste y desde un planteamiento lo m s escalable posible.
La familia de soluciones ProMedia incluye soporte para streaming adaptativo MPEG-DASH, codificaci n HEVC y cualquier formato 4K, mejorando la interoperatividad con el sistema de almacanemiento MediaGrod para la distribuci n de servicios time-shifted TV.
La tecnolog a de Harmonic hace posible el stream de contenidos VoD a 4K Ultra HD VoD, as como su playout con gesti n Digital Rights Management (DRM) y Content Management Systems (CMS), sobre Internet, as como otras soluciones lineales en Ultra HD sobre redes existentes de DTH, cable y telco. Los potentes sistemas para preparaci n de contenidos para su emisi n, incluyen el motor para workflos basados en ficheros, WFS, el transcodificador ProMedia Xpress, el servidor de streaming ProMedia Origin y el sistema de almacenamiento compartido MediaGrid.
Destacar, por ltimo, que Harmonic ha colaborado con los vide grafos Jacob y Katie Schwarz de Mystery Box Film para producir material 4K Ultra HD a lo largo de localizaciones en todo el mundo. Este material, accesible here, est siendo licenciado a terceros por parte de Harmonic y servir de base para las de mostraciones en 4K en CES 2014.
