...HBOs celebration of Brooklyn incapability, Girls. For two seasons, Driver has played the crude, maddening, deeply bizarre and yet also kind of perfect for Hannah in the most screwed up way imaginable, so much so that ... sorry, Adam. His characters name is Adam. Girls became such an instant phenomenon, and Driver was a clear standout among the cast, that he almost immediately became hugely castable.

Unless Youve Really Been Paying Attention, in Which Case You Remember Him From ...

... Steven Spielbergs biographical epic, Lincoln. Not even so much Lincoln, where he showed up for a brief scene where Abraham Lincoln told him a very long and meandering story, but rather the Lincoln trailer, which included almost the entirety of Drivers performance and gave cynical Millennials an entry point into the film.

... Everything from Brooklyn-centric indie comedies like the gay-guy-straight-girl baby-making comedies (Gayby) to bit parts in big Clint Eastwood bio-pics (J. Edgar). Also, in terms of "What Might Have Been," Driver was part of the unsuccessful HBO pilot The Wonderful Maladys back in 2009, where he would have co-starred with Sarah Michelle Gellar, Adam Scott, Molly Parker, and Nate Corddry.

"Wait, So Hes That Guy From ..."

... the fantastic Frances Ha, the latest film from director Noah Baumbach. Frances earned raves as it toured the festival circuit, from Telluride to Toronto to New York to Berlin, and his performance as a pal (and possible love interest, at least momentarily) to Greta Gerwigs Frances is his most rewarding big-screen opportunity yet, and a sign of things to come.

Perhaps You Attended the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival, In Which Case...

...You saw Driver as part of the ensemble in Lance Edmandss moody drama Bluebird. Driver fit in quite well with a strong ensemble that included Amy Morton, John Slattery, and Margo Martindale. Driver also co-starred in the comedic short film The River, alongside Lauren Ambrose.



Where You Can Find Him in the Future ...

...Hes in the ensemble of the Coen brothers folk-music picture Inside Llewyn Davis (anticipation for that one just keeps growing and growing, doesn't it?), as well as a romantic dramady with Daniel Radcliffe, Zoe Kazan, and Rafe Spall (The F Word), and the Australian drama Tracks, with Mia Wasikowska. Driver has also been cast in Baumbachs next film (While Were Young), as well as the Shawn Levy directed, sitting-shiva-themed family comedy This Is Where I Leave You, joining a dynamite ensemble including Tina Fey, Jason Bateman, Jane Fonda, Kathryn Hahn, Timothy Olyphant, and Rose Byrne.
