Major League DJz, made up of twin brothers Banele and Bandile Mbere, have taken the world by storm with their amapiano Balcony Mixes. The Bakwa Lah hitmakers are hoping to write their names in the history books with a 75-hour set, which would mark the longest duo DJ set in history.

MAJOR LEAGUE DJZ'S BALCONY MIX Major League DJz launched their iconic amapiano Balcony Mixes in January 2020, two months before South Africa went into lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through the national lockdown, the brothers kept us dancing and once it was safe again, the Balcony Mixes became explosive events. The likes of Kabza De Small, DBN Gogo, Mr JazziQ, De Mthuda, Kelvin Momo and DJ Maphorisa all had guest DJ mixes on the Balcony Mix.

The Balcony Mix has also travelled to several countries including Ghana, Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Mexico and the United States.

MAJOR LEAGUE DJZ EYE WORLD RECORD Major League DJz are hoping to set the world record for the longest duo DJ set in history. The world record attempt will take place between 2 and 4 September in Johannesburg.

We couldn't have found a better way to bring our brand's purpose to life of feeding the culture' and celebrate a whirlwind of a ride we've experienced over the past year taking amapiano to the world and kicking all the doors we've found closed open so the world can dance to the biggest sound of the continent right now and see all the talent South Africa has, said the brothers in a statement sent to SlikourOnLife.

We see this show as a celebration of what we've achieved and we can't to celebrate this moment with some of our biggest supporters.

DJ SBU'S WORLD RECORD In December 2020, Mzansi's DJ Sbu set the Guinness World Record for the longest radio broadcast on his online radio station, Massiv Metro.

In June 2021, DJ Sbu announced that he was aiming at setting the world record for the highest altitude DJ set on land.
