Were so proud to have such great talent grow within Cut Run, especially when theyre exceptional people like Ellese and Adam, comments Jon Grover, Partner/Editor at Cut Run New York. They are part of the family and have worked tremendously hard to be where they are today.
Adam Bazadona started as an assistant at Cut Run in 2009 and, over the years, has worked alongside Jon Grover, Gary Knight, Akiko Iwakawa, among other editors at Cut Run. From assisting to editing has been a fluid transition for Adam with credits that include co-editor on Green Days Oh Love directed by Sam Bayer and the CFDA Fashion Fund film directed by Jun Diaz, a collaboration with Andres Cortes on Rehearsal Space featuring Lee Renaldo from Sonic Youth, and the recent Panda Desiigner video. Each of these projects demonstrates Adam's love of editing projects with distinct visual style set to music. In 2015, Adam cut Scott McFarnons Crazy Heart directed by Floyd Russ, which highlights the stark reality of human trafficking in America. In the commercial realm, Adam has contributed his editing talent to a diverse collection of projects for clients Mercedes, Kobe Bryant, Verizon Wireless and Blue Apron.
Cut Run has been a great company to grow in, comments Adam. Support is so important and prevalent here. If you want it, they give you so many opportunities to flourish and I am honored to assume the title of editor here, doing what I love.
Ellese Jobins career was forged at Cut Run: she joined the company shortly after Adam Bazadona, working in client service and reception. She quickly became involved in projects, assuming the role of producer and eventually Senior Producer. As Head of Production, Ellese will oversee Cut Runs NY producer team and all facets of the postproduction process in a management capacity.
I welcome the next level of my career with the Cut Run family, says Ellese Jobin. Its a place I love, and it has been exciting to grow with everyone here, including Adam. It feels special and fitting that we are enjoying these promotions at the same time.
