In June this year, South African rapper Raf Don teamed up with YoungstaCPT on a sneaker culture-inspired single, Tekky. Following the success of the single, Raf Don is keeping the ball rolling with his new single, P$ featuring R&B star, KLY. The single was produced by Shaney Jay who has built a name for himself crafting some of Mzansi's top hip-hop singles.

RAF DON RELEASES P$' For two weeks, Raf Don's Tekky featuring YoungstaCPT stood tall as the number one single on Cape Town's Good Hope FM. The talented rapper wanted a way to connect with people from different cultural backgrounds, races and classes through song.

Almost two months later, the Cape Town-based rapper released P$ on Friday 19 August featuring KLY. He wanted KLY to bring his R&B influence to drill, a sound that originated in the United Kingdom's hip-hop scene.

The song talks about the hustle and making sure you get your pieces of the pie' as in money, which is all most of us want really, said KLY.

THE VISION FOR P$' The rapper explained that P$ speaks about wanting to better yourself and keeping your eye on the prize. He also described the single as a hustler's anthem .

The vision behind P$ was me making a bold statement on living and thinking big in two simple words, hustle and ambition, he explained.

WHO IS RAF DON? Raphael Tambwe, better known by his stage name Raf Don, is a French rapper who is currently based in Cape Town. The hip-hop star is also a dancer and has been praised for his energetic dance moves and stage presence.

Over the years, he has collaborated with the likes of DJ Maphorisa, Kiddominant, Kel-P Vibes, YoungstaCPT and more.
