To produce, shoot, edit and through creative thinking use your video editing skills produce outstanding videos / films within the scope of the brand and creative brief supplied and present to client for use.
To act as directed by the Creative Director and by the Creative Brief. Work together with an assigned creative team to conceptualise and produce each and every job in a precise and concise manner.
Position is responsible for all aspects of video production, from pre-production to post- production including shot list creation, sound and lighting design as well as audio/video editing
Primary output includes interactive presentations, CDs, DVDs, and for web.
Liaising with clients and interpreting their briefs;
Working in a team.
Familiarising yourself with their clients' products/services, target audience.
Keeping up to date with popular culture and trends.
Solid experience with the video/ film production process.
Strong post-production experience with design skills and experience in motion graphics, audio/video log and capture/transfer, editing, compositing, and format/compression specific output.
Have the ability to establish priorities and work independently.
Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.
Additional work activities may include:
Overseeing the quality and progress of audio and vision engineering and editing.
Consulting with the creative director, art director and/or client throughout the post-production process.
Familiarising oneself with the brand.
Experimenting with styles and techniques including the design of graphic elements.
Selecting the most effective shot of a scene in terms of drama, story relevance or continuity.
Suggesting or selecting music.
Skills required:
Exceptional editing skills
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
Final Cut Pro
After Effects (a Plus)
Proficient in operating a video camera, audio equipment and lighting equipment.
Excellent communication (verbal & written) and organizational skills
Well organized in storing media files and project files
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
Ability to work on either Mac or Windows platforms
Preferred but not required:
Web & HTML experience a plus
Experience with 3d animation a plus a
Background in multimedia development, marketing, or technical writing a plus
Experience with PowerPoint and audio/visual presentations a plus
Photography experience a plus
