ITV Studios International Production hours at an all-time high
Five* of the top 10 most watched programmes in the UK in 2018 produced by labels which are part of ITV Studios as International Production continues to grow.
Five of the top 10 best performing shows* in the UK, including Bodyguard, I'm A Celebrity .Get Me Out of Here and Vera, were created and produced by labels which are part of ITV Studios.
Globally produced original hours in 2018 continued to grow, hitting over 8,500 hours - a record high.
International production of Love Island tripled in 2018, with shows on air in the UK, Germany, Australia, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
Multi-award wins including: Emmy award wins for Queer Eye; Primetime Emmy wins for The Voice; Golden Globe wins for Richard Madden as Best Actor, for Bodyguard and Patricia Clarkson, Best Supporting Actress for Sharp Objects.
Highest number of new dramas due to be delivered in 2019 including World on Fire, Noughts and Crosses, Snowpiercer, Wild Bill, The Bay, Vernon Subutex and Zero, Zero, Zero and returning drama including Gomorrah, Suburra, Profilage and Line of Duty.
More entertainment shows in new territories than ever before, Sunday Night Takeaway in Australia; more Love Island including a US launch; I'm A Celebrity .Get Me Out of Here in France; What Would Your Kid Do in Belgium and Hell's Kitchen in Denmark.
Five of the top 10 most watched programmes in 2018 in the UK* were created and produced by labels which are part of ITV Studios. The best performing shows are:
Bodyguard - created and written by Jed Mercurio and made by World Productions for BBC One.
I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here - created and produced by ITV Studios Entertainment for ITV;
Coronation Street - produced by ITV Studios Continuing Drama for ITV;
Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway - produced by ITV Studios Entertainment and Mitre Television for ITV.
Vera - produced by SilverPrint Pictures for ITV. (See attached table for further detail).
Format sales and distribution are also handled by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
Internationally produced original hours across all genres - Drama, Soaps, Entertainment, Factual & Factual Entertainment - also continued to grow and hit over 8,500 hours, an all-time high.

We take a step closer to fulfilling this ambition as we head into 2019 with a catalogue of over 40,000 hours; the highest number of new dramas due to be delivered and more entertainment shows in new territories than ever before.

Globally produced original hours continue to grow
ITV Studios now has production bases in 12 countries with more than 50 labels supplying over 200 channels and platforms. Demand for quality drama continues to grow and across the international group, through our European and US drama labels, new and returning original drama production is increasing.
Highlights in 2018 included:
Suburra, the second series is produced by Cattleya for Netflix and Rai Fiction. The Italian label is very much at the vanguard of the growth of Netflix's push into non-English language drama.
Victoria, the third season made by Mammoth Screen, in partnership with Masterpiece, is in production. Victoria is one of ITV's most successful dramas. It has also been hugely popular in the US, with the second season reaching an average audience of 5.2m viewers on PBS. The show has been sold to 189 countries worldwide.
Vera, garnered its highest ratings ever this year on ITV with 8.4m viewers and 30% share and on France3, was the highest performing show in peak time.
Golden Globe winner Sharp Objects is created and produced by Blumhouse Television (launched in 2017 with investment from ITV Studios) and Entertainment One.
Balthazar, produced by Beaubourg, part of Tetra Media Studio, for TF1 and is one of the most watched shows in France.
Non-Scripted Global Production
ITV Studios continued to create and produce successful global returning non-scripted formats in 2018. Highlights include:
ITV America is now the largest independent producer of unscripted content in the US with over 600 original hours produced including the critically-acclaimed, three-time Emmy winning Queer Eye (season 3 to premiere in 2019); Fixer Upper; Pawn Stars; Alone; Marriage Boot Camp; The Four: Battle for Stardom; The Real Housewives of New Jersey; Hell's Kitchen (the longest running cooking show in the US); and the upcoming American version of Love Island.
Created and produced by ITV Studios Entertainment, international production of Love Island tripled in 2018, with shows on air in the UK, Germany, Australia, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. More territories for 2019 will be announced shortly.
