A lo largo de los a os, artistas como Chalino Sanchez, Los Tigres del Norte, Ramon Ayala, y Los Tucanes de Tijuana se han convertido en himnos de los hogares mexicanos y han obtenido un gran reconocimiento mundial por su m sica.

En los ltimos a os, un nuevo estilo conocido como corridos tumbados ha crecido r pidamente en popularidad, con artistas como Peso Pluma, Chino Pacas, y Natanael Cano alz ndose r pidamente como los rostros del g nero. Combinando sonidos tradicionales con temas contempor neos, esta nueva ola de artistas narra las historias cotidianas de adolescentes y j venes mexicanos que buscan salir adelante en su pa s a pesar de las realidades que viven d a con d a. Estos artistas no s lo contin an el legado de los corridos en M xico, sino que tambi n dominan las listas de xitos mundiales.
El aumento en la popularidad de los corridos es innegable. En los ltimos cinco a os, el consumo mundial del g nero ha aumentado un 413%, con un incremento del 42% este a o en comparaci n con el anterior. Y los corridos han dominado el panorama de streaming de M sica Mexicana en 2023, representando el 77% de todos los streams dentro del g nero. En otras palabras, casi 8 de cada 10 canciones escuchadas bajo el paraguas de M sica Mexicana son corridos.

Por qu elegiste cantar corridos? Luis R Conriquez: Porque es la m sica con la que he crecido y la que me gusta desde peque o. De ni o escuchaba corridos cuando iba en el carro con mi familia.
Peso Pluma: Desde morrillo escucho corridos de Chalino, Ariel Camacho y Los Plebes del Rancho, y muchos otros grandes artistas que han dado forma al g nero. Hago corridos tumbados porque son una parte del rompecabezas que conforma a M xico y busco que mi m sica sea el puente que une la tradici n con lo actual.
Gabito Ballesteros: Los corridos son parte de mis ra ces, heredadas de mis padres. Siempre he escuchado a Chalino S nchez, Vicente Fern ndez, y Pedro Infante, entre otros muchos iconos de la m sica mexicana. Estoy orgulloso de mi bandera mexicana y, para m , los corridos son un s mbolo de M xico. Quiero seguir representando a nuestro pa s con orgullo.
Como parte de la generaci n m s joven de artistas de corridos, Por qu es importante para ti seguir interpretando corridos? Luis: Porque Luis R Conriquez empez con los corridos. Ah es donde empez , y creo que es lo que me ha llevado a donde estoy. No pienso dejar de lado los corridos para dedicarme a otro g nero musical. Los corridos siempre estar n presentes en mi vida.
Peso Pluma: Para m es importante hacer que los corridos resuenen en todas partes. Y creo que lo estamos consiguiendo, ya que el g nero ha dejado de ser regional para convertirse en un fen meno mundial.
Qu mensaje quiere que se lleven los oyentes de sus canciones? Luis: En realidad no pretendo darles un mensaje. Lo que m s me importa es que la gente disfrute y le guste mi m sica, y que, por encima de todo, les aporte felicidad.
Gabito: Quiero que sientan lo que yo siento cuando escribo una canci n. Ya sea felicidad, tristeza, o cualquier otro sentimiento que dejamos marcado en cada canci n que escribimos.
Peso Pluma: S lo buenas vibras. Espero que con mis canciones tengan algo con lo que puedan relacionarse en momentos en los que est n enamorados o con el coraz n roto. Quiero que mis canciones les inspiren.
Qu esperas para el futuro de los corridos? Luis: Siento que los corridos van a un ascenso. Ahorita ya en todos lados escuchan corridos en lugares donde no los escuchaban. Est evolucionando todo, todo est creciendo m s a favor de los corridos. Siento que va muy bien.
Peso Pluma: Creo que el futuro es muy prometedor. Ahora mismo hay muchos artistas con mucho talento y que seguir n haciendo crecer la escena de formas nuevas y emocionantes.
