Taiwan s First 4-Hour News Network Taps TVU Networks for Mobile IP Video Transmiion

TVU Networks announced that Television Broadcasts Satellite (TVBS), the first 24-hour news network in Taiwan, is expanding their TVU Networks suite of IP-based live video broadcast solutions by deploying multiple units of TVU One, TVU's newest, ultra-compact mobile transmitter and TVU Anywhere, TVU's smartphone-based app which broadcasts live from a mobile device with the push of a button.

TVBS, a nationwide cable TV network in Taiwan, has been using TVUPack cellular uplink backpacks since 2010. TVBS will expand their mobile newsgathering capabilities and breaking news coverage by also deploying TVU One, which provides the same industry-leading transmission resiliency, performance, video picture quality and sub-second latency of a full-size TVUPack backpack transmitter, but in the most powerful and smallest form factor IP video transmitter available. Additionally, reporters for TVBS will use TVU Anywhere, a smart device-based app that allows broadcasters to turn their personal smartphone into a high quality, low latency professional video transmitter to capture live news as it's happening, from virtually anywhere.
