1Magic's popular drama series The River is coming to an end as it wraps off its season finale after being cancelled.

The drama series was cancelled after six seasons of airing.

DSTV CONFIRMS CANCELLATION Earlier this year, the showrunners of the drama series Tshedza Pictures through Phathu Makwarela confirmed that the show was ending.

However, little is known about the reasons behind the cancellation. Close sources to the showrunners have it that it was cancelled through a mutual agreement.

The director of local entertainment channels at Mnet, Shirley Adonisi, also confirmed the news. Undoubtedly, the producers have been writing off characters, with Lunga Mofokeng being the most recent star to bid farewell to the show.

Against the cancellation news, the drama series has been making headlines on social media.

The mansion is best known as Lindiwe Dikana's fortress on the show. The bubbly blogger made it known that the mansion is in an estate in Ruimsig, Johannesburg. Macdonald has it that the mansion is listed for R11 million.

Despite the news making rounds, the showrunners are yet to officially confirm that the mansion is listed, despite many confirming the news of its sale on social media.

Despite its sale making headlines, the showrunners are yet to give an official statement regarding it being listed, given that it's still being used as the drama series' set as the show wraps up its season finale with a bang.
