Viewers can look forward to a new Spoorloos season, titled Spoorloos: Die eiland - it promises to be filled with as much drama, intrigue and mystery as the previous Spoorloos seasons, with singer and actor Bobby van Jaarsveld joining the cast.

About Spoorloos: Die eiland Spoorloos is an anthology series - each season's mystery involves a new cast, with its own new storyline and characters. In the latest season, Spoorloos: Die eiland, the life of Stefan Claassen, an adventurous young architect, is hurled into chaos when an ill-fated chance encounter with his long-lost love not only reignites his feelings for her but drags him into a web of deceit when she disappears.

Bobby portrays the role of Stefan. He has starred in movies such as As jy sing and Liefling. He was also part of the cast of the kykNET comedy, Mense mense, as well as a judge on the show, The Voice - however, this is his first role in a TV drama.

Bobby van Jaarsveld's first serious role I'm very excited about this opportunity. This is the first time I'm portraying such a serious role, Bobby says. I feel honoured to be part of such an incredible production - Spoorloos' quality is next level.

The actor and director Christo Davids and Francois Coetzee are the directors of Spoorloos: Die eiland. We are certain that viewers will enjoy Spoorloos: Die eiland as much as the previous seasons. This season will, as with the previous seasons, keep the viewers guessing, Christo says.

Ochre Pictures, the producer of Spoorloos, was also responsible for the M-Net hit series, Lioness. The story is very close to my heart because I grew up on an island in St. Lucia. I can't wait to see how the viewers try to solve the mysteries.

Spoorloos: Die eiland starts on Tuesday 19 July at 20:00 on kykNET (DStv Channel 144) and will be available on DStv Catch Up. The season comprises of eight episodes.
