Faced with life-and-death situations where every second counts, one team is ready to do whatever it takes to save lives. The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, Netflix Korea's first original medical series, is set to hit screens on January 24. The teaser dropped today, offering a sneak peek at its unique blend of action, drama, and humor.
Ju Ji-hoon (Kingdom, Along with the Gods) takes center stage as Dr. Baek Kang-hyuk, a genius surgeon seasoned by years in war zones. Armed with a wry sense of humor and a mission to revolutionize trauma care in Korea, Baek is determined to establish a top-tier trauma center dedicated to saving lives. The series unfolds with a whirlwind of controlled chaos as he injects his signature wit into every life-saving moment. Set against diverse backdrops - from battlefields to mountain accidents - it also delivers a sense of scale and excitement rarely seen in medical dramas.
Alongside Ju Ji-hoon, the series introduces unique characters whose chemistry and teamwork set them apart, including Choo Young-woo (The Tale of Lady Ok) as fellow Yang Jae-won and Ha-young (Doona!) as senior nurse Cheon Jang-mi.
Breaking away from traditional hospital dramas, the series is all about the rush of the rescue and the camaraderie of a team that knows how to get things done.
