The company to help the Hungarian paralympic team's preparation during the upcoming Olympic cycle
Supporter's heart already beating at the Paralympic Games in Rio
A one of a kind new fee plan for people with disabilities hits the market: more affordable prices, with the option to link an additional family member or assistant to the plan .
Magyar Telekom has signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation with the Hungarian Paralympic Committee, pursuant to which the company is going to help the Hungarian team prepare during the next paralympic cycle. Telekom is also doing something else for people with disabilities: it has developed a new discount fleet tariff plan unique to the market called hello tomorrow! for people with disabilities and their helpers, in cooperation with multiple nationwide advocacy organisations.
SMagyar Telekom equally ranks supporting sports and asserting sustainability criteria among its key mission goals. This is why paying attention to people with disabilities, and intensifying the responsibility taken towards them is one of the pillars in the company's sustainability strategy. Para-sports serve as an important point where these two topics converge. That is why Telekom, as a committed partner of sports in Hungary and a platinum sponsor of the Hungarian Olympic team, considers it particularly important to also support the country's paralympians, and contribute to increasing awareness and the popularity of para-sports in Hungary.
We have a shared responsibility to pay appropriate attention to people who are capable of extraordinary performances even in the face of conditions that differ from what we are accustomed to, said Christopher Mattheisen, Magyar Telekom's CEO at the press conference held for the announcement, who signed the memorandum of understanding on the cooperation on behalf of the company. We are seeking to use the tools that we have to make the paralympians' preparation for the next Paralympic Games in Tokyo easier, and also to encourage everyone to root for Team Hungary at the games to be held in Rio now.
This really is an historic moment: One of Hungary's largest and best known companies, Magyar Telekom, and the Hungarian para-sports movement is joining forces to prove that the community of Hungarians with disabilities is not a basket full of forlorn puppies you pet out of pity, rather a community of strong and proud Hungarians who represent a resource and energy for all of Hungary. The pride of the disabled community in Hungary reinforces solidarity among Hungarians, their work contributes to the development of the economy, and advances the nation. I am proud that the 43-strong team at the Rio Games is at the forefront of this shared effort, added L szl Szab , Chairman of the Hungarian Paralympic Committee.

hello tomorrow! - new discount fleet tariff plan for people with disabilities
As the largest info-communications company in Hungary, Telekom can best support people with disabilities in whatever is related to communication among people. This is why the company has redesigned its hello tomorrow! tariff plan, launched in 2014, and developed a new fleet package in conjunction with four definitive advocacy organisations in Hungary: the National Association of Autists (AOSZ), the Hungarian Association for Persons with Intellectual Disability ( FO SZ), the Hungarian Federation of the Blind and Partially Sighted (MVGYOSZ), and the National Federation of Disabled Persons Associations (MEOSZ).
In addition to being more favourably priced than its predecessor, the new plan also includes several extra services: its users can have unlimited calls with each other 24 hours a day and up to 1Gb of internet traffic for a discount monthly fee.
Something else specifically new is that apart from the members of the four organisations above, other organisations and foundations who are in contact or cooperation with them can also use the fleet package. The redesigned terms and conditions mean that each customer is entitled to have up to two subscriptions, in order to simplify communication between a disabled customer and a family member or helper.

Sustainability Day, to be organised by Telekom for the ninth time, is going to be all about sustainable development, and also equality of opportunity, among other subjects. This year's festival/conference will be held at Akv rium Klub on 24 September 2016. The company will welcome those interested in the subject with discussions, an exhibit and an after party.
