Days of Cause for GoPro Employees

GoPro is incredibly proud to have just finished 12 Days of Cause, a unique approach to the holiday giving. Between November 30th and December 11th GoPro employees joined together to contribute up to four work hours/each to help the community.

Rather than spending on lavish office parties during the holiday, GoPro gave each employee four hours out of their work week to leave campus and volunteer with a local charity homeless shelters, food banks, neighborhood clean-ups, etc. said Jeff Ryan, VP of People for GoPro. More than 600 GoPro employees volunteered at 26 charities from Munich, Amsterdam, SF Bay, Cardiff, Boulder and other GoPro locations around the world more than 1700 volunteer hours.

A GoPro HERO4 Session on Head Strap is perfect to capture time-lapse photos while painting a new sidewalk at Spruce Elementary.

Employees worked as teams and volunteered individually, choosing the causes, recruiting volunteers, baking, competing in contests to raise funds, and donating GoPro cameras.

GoPro Employee donated their time for a restoration project at the Marine Science Institute.

The collective contribution and the passion that GoPro brought to people in our communities made this a truly unique GoPro approach to the holiday.
