PBS Names Jill Patrone Vice President, Deputy General Counsel

Arlington, VA, December 3, 2019 - PBS today announced that Jill Patrone has been promoted to the position of Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, reporting to Chief Legal Officer Katherine Lauderdale. In this role, Patrone will develop strategies to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of legal services provided by the Office of the Chief Legal Officer. In addition to maintaining a robust portfolio of corporate law functions, Patrone will play a key strategic role in determining how to improve legal processes, efficiently allocate resources, and use technology and knowledge management to support internal business clients.

Jill is a proven leader with extensive experience working on a range of legal issues that impact PBS and our public media partners, said Lauderdale. She has been a valuable member of the legal team's management structure as Managing Corporate Counsel, and her legal expertise is sought and respected throughout the company. We are so pleased that she is taking on this expanded role and grateful to for her commitment to PBS's mission.

Patrone joined PBS in 2000 as Assistant General Counsel. She subsequently rose to Associate General Counsel & Labor and Employment Counsel, and in 2007, she was named Managing Corporate Counsel. Throughout her tenure, she has dedicated herself to partnering with internal and external partners to deliver on PBS's mission of service to the American public. Prior to PBS, she worked at Findlaw.com and as an associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.

Patrone is a graduate of Duke University School of Law and received her bachelors degree from Stanford University.
