Next generation of interactive television capabilities to be showcased at 2013 International CES Stand 70811
Las Vegas, CES2013, January 8, 2013 Civolution, the leading provider of technology and solutions for identifying, managing and monetizing content, today announces its partnership with Mobovivo, the 2nd screen software company that enables media companies to distribute and market branded digital experiences for smartphones and tablets. Civolution will provide Mobovivo with its multi award-winning automatic content recognition (ACR) technology, SyncNow, to allow Mobovivo branded apps to synchronize with on-air content in real-time. Mobovivo will use SyncNow to trigger 2nd screen content, creating a more immersive and interactive user experience. Civolution and Mobovivo will be showcasing the capabilities of the new partnership at the 2013 International CES (stand 70811) with a first look at the award-winning AXS TV Fights App.

Civolution's SyncNow ACR solution will allow us to push innovation in the 2nd screen space even further, and foster increased levels of engagement between television viewers and our brand partners.
Recent research from Frank N. Magid Associates, Inc. shows the degree to which digital device multitasking is becoming a norm among those who own a device and watch television. Nearly half of tablet owners say they use their tablets while watching TV at least half the time they are viewing. As more consumers own connected mobile devices that allow them to perform digital tasks in the TV viewing environment, so, the Magid report states, this phenomenon will continue to grow at an impressive pace.
The integrated solution will be showcased at the 2013 International CES (Stand 7081, Venetian Hotel) where Civolution and Mobovivo will give an exclusive look at AXS TV Fights App - a 2ndscreen app that lets viewers play along with both live and time-shifted MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) broadcasts. Following CES, the companies plan to leverage the new capabilities afforded by their partnership for additional 2nd screen apps within the Mobovivo app portfolio, as well as an international television series and a global sporting event.
Mobovivo's clients span the globe and include Globo TV in Brazil, AXS TV in the U.S. and Epitome Pictures in Canada. The company helps engage audiences with companion experiences for sports, scripted programming and advertising. Mobovivo has released over 100 apps for customers such as eOne Entertainment, Alliance Films, and Astral for those customers to build and engage their audiences. In the sports arena, Mobovivo is currently integrating in-stadium smartphone photos, videos, and social interaction with live sports programming, both at home and in the stadium.
Civolution's award-winning media interaction solution, SyncNow, already powers sync for a range of 2nd screen consumer applications for movie and show producers, broadcasters, 2nd screen platform providers and advertisers worldwide. SyncNow enables real-time identification and frame-accurate synchronization between broadcast, on-demand or recorded television content and interactive applications on companion devices (tablets, smart phones, laptops) to present compelling synchronized interactive user experiences including auto-check-in.
