Reorganisatie afgerond, Ziggo klaar voor succesvol 2016

TV en MyPrime groeit sterk in aantal abonnees en gebruik

Resultaten vierde kwartaal:
Stijging van de ARPU[1] van 1,8 procent (y-o-y)
Het aantal RGU's2 nam af met 52.000 waarmee het totaal aantal RGU's uitkomt op 9.728.200
- Sterke concurrentie en minder marketinguitgaven leidde tot afname aantal RGU's
- In Q4 nam het aantal nieuwe internet klanten met 7.000 toe tot 35.000 over 2015
- Het kwaliteitsprogramma heeft geleid tot grotere netwerkstabiliteit en betere klantenservice en zal naar verwachting de resultaten ondersteunen in 2016
Sterke toename in gebruik van het Horizon platform (Horizon TV, Replay TV, Horizon Go en MyPrime)
- 141.000 nieuwe abonnees voor Horizon TV in Q4, een groei naar 706.000
- Het aantal gebruikers van Replay TV groeide met 34% in Q4 naar 460.000
- De multi-screen service Horizon Go groeide met meer dan 445.000 gebruikers tot een aantal van 720.000 gebruikers eind 2015
Wij blijven investeren in onze producten, met inbegrip van de lancering van ons nieuwe Ziggo Sport TV kanaal
- Exclusief aanbod aan onze klanten om hun TV ervaring te verrijken en het plezier te bieden van een extra gratis sportzender
- Uitgebreid aanbod aan premium sportprogramma's, inclusief de recentelijk verworven uitzendrechten van de Engelse Premier League voor de komende drie seizoenen
- Bijna 20% van onze nieuwe klanten, noemt Ziggo Sport als reden om klant te worden
57.000 nieuwe mobiele abonnees in 2015, waarbij het totaal toenam tot 187.000 abonnees
- In Q4 telden we 6.000 nieuwe abonnees, dit succes komt mede door onze nieuwe mobiele propositie met 4G welke we in oktober hebben gelanceerd
Aantrekkelijk zakelijk portfolio gelanceerd met 500Mbps snelheden

We hebben vorig jaar met de afronding van onze reorganisatie een solide basis gelegd voor een succesvol 2016. Al onze innovatie is er op gericht onze klanten te laten profiteren van de nieuwste producten en de beste service. De klant staat uiteraard voorop. Ziggo Sport is een goed voorbeeld van een verrijking van ons aanbod, gratis en exclusief voor onze klanten. We blijven investeren in ons netwerk, dat nu in het grootste gedeelte van Nederland de hoogste snelheden biedt. Ook op de zakelijke markt zien we goede kansen.
Gedurende 2015 nam het aantal RGU's met 203.000 af, inclusief 52.000 in Q4, als gevolg van stevige concurrentiedruk, operationele uitdagingen die te maken hadden met onze netwerk -en productharmonisatie en integratie werkzaamheden, alsmede prijsverhogingen die we gedurende het jaar hebben doorgevoerd. We zijn ervan overtuigd dat onze continue focus op TV kwaliteit en klantbeleving, samen met ons net gelanceerde Ziggo Sport kanaal in Q4, ons een betere concurrentie positie zal geven in 2016.
Met betrekking tot de integratie hebben we aanzienlijke vooruitgang geboekt in de loop van het jaar. We hebben onze interne reorganisatie afgerond. Ons netwerk is geharmoniseerd evenals ons productportfolio. Onze personeelsbestand is met bijna 600 fulltime employees gedaald in 2015, al zal dat aantal teruglopen aangezien we verwachten weer nieuwe medewerkers aan te zullen nemen in 2016. We boeken goede resultaten met het kwaliteitsprogramma dat we gestart zijn in juli, en dat zich richt op een betere TV kwaliteit alsmede een verbetering van de totale klantbeleving. Als een gevolg daarvan is het wekelijks aantal bezoeken van servicemonteurs en het aantal service calls van onze klanten aanzienlijk gedaald gedurende de laatste vijf maanden. Bovendien is onze zogenaamde net promoter score (NPS) verbeterd. Deze bevindt zich thans bijna op het niveau van voor de integratie. Tenslotte zijn de overgrote meerderheid van de IT en netwerk problemen als gevolg van de netwerk harmonisatie aan het einde van het jaar opgelost.
Met betrekking tot onze productprestaties was 90% van het verlies aan RGU's in 2015 gerelateerd aan
klanten die enkel een TV abonnement bij ons afnamen (single-play). Ondanks dat het verloop in Q4 in lijn lag met Q3 is de afname van het aantal TV klanten met 8.000 RGU's toegenomen ten opzichte van het vorige kwartaal, met name als gevolg van lagere sales door verminderde marketinguitgaven. Het verlies van TV klanten werd deels goed gemaakt door de groei van het aantal abonnementen van ons Horizon TV productpakket, welke goed aanslaat bij onze klanten. Gedurende het vierde kwartaal voegden we een record aantal van 141.000 abonnees toe, waardoor onze Horizon-TV klanten bestand steeg tot 706.000. Een verdubbeling ten opzichte van een jaar geleden. Onze nieuwe dienst Replay TV, wordt goed ontvangen door onze klanten zoals blijkt uit de aanwas van 460.000 actieve gebruikers sinds deze dienst begin april beschikbaar kwam. Replay TV wordt nu actief gebruikt door 65% van onze Horizon-TV abonnees. De Horizon Go app, waarmee klanten ook TV kunnen kijken op hun tablet of smart phone naar meer dan 90 kanalen buitenshuis, heeft 720.000 actieve gebruikers. En MyPrime, onze video-on-demand dienst, groeide bovendien met 190.000 actieve abonnees in 2015 tot een totaal van 300.000. Het maandelijkse gebruik per abonnee steeg gemiddeld met 13% sinds de landelijke uitbreiding in april.
Op 12 november zijn we begonnen met het uitzenden van Ziggo Sport, een exclusief en uniek sportkanaal dat standaard in ons kabelabonnement wordt opgenomen zonder extra kosten.
